A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING
RESOLUTION N0. 635 OF SAID COUNCIL (THE
SALARY AND COMPENSATION RESOLUTION) PASSED
AND ADOPTED ON THE 23RD DAY OF DECEMBER, 1942,
AS AMENDED, BY ADDING A NEW PARAGRAPH TO BE
DESIGNATED AS PARAGRAPH "M" (PROVIDING FOR
A SCHOOL- CROSSING GUARD) TO SUBDIVISION 6
OF THE "SCHEDULE OF COMPENSATION FOR THE
VARIOUS OFFICERS, DEPARTMENT HEADS AND EM-
PLOYEES OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA ",
SET FORTH IN SECTION 1 OF SAID RESOLUTION.
The City Council of the City of El Segundo,
California, does hereby resolve, declare and determine
as follows:
SECTION 1. That a new paragraph to be known
and designated as paragraph "M" shall be and the same is
hereby added to Subdivision 6 of the "Schedule of Compen-
sation for the Various Officers, Department Heads and
Employees of the City of E1 Segundo, California," set forth
in Section 1 of Resolution No. 635 of the City Council of
said city, entitled:
"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, FIXING
AND ESTABLISHING THE COMPENSATION OR PAY OF
VARIOUS MUNICIPAL OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF
SAID CITY, AND REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS
AND ORDERS AND PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS AND
ORDERS IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. ",
passed and adopted on the 23rd day of December, 1942, as
amended, and which said new paragraph "M" shall read as
follows:
"M. School- Crossing Guard, which position
Is hereby created, shall receive the sum of 85¢
per hour for each hour of service."

SECTION 2. That said Resolution No. 635, as
amended, is hereby amended as hereinabove in Section 1
of this resolution set forth.
SECTION 3. That this resolution shall take
effect immediately.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify
to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall
cause the original of the same to be entered in the book
of resolutions of the said City of E1 Segundo, and shall
make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the
records of the proceedings of the City Council of said
city, in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is
passed and adopted.
Passed, approved and adopted this 2nd day of
September, A. D., 1943.

I, Victor D. McCarthy, City Clerk of the City
of El Segundo, California, do hereby certify that the
whole number of members of the City Council of the said
city is five; that the foregoing resolution, being
Resolution No. 678, was passed and adopted by the said
City Council, approved and signed by the Mayor of said
city and attested by the City Clerk of said city, all at
an adjourned regular meeting of the said council held on
the 2nd day of September, A. D., 1943, and that the same
was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Hesser, Peterson, Skelley and Mayor Love;
NOES: Councilmen None;
ABSENT: Councilman Selby.
