A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA,
REPEALING RESOLUTION N0. 666 OF SAID
COUNCIL, ENTITLED: "A RESOLUTION OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO,
CALIFORNIA, GRANTING A TEMPORARY RE-
VOCABLE PERMIT TO SO. CALIF. TEE.. CO.
TO EXCAVATE IN A CERTAIN PORTION OF
EL SEGUNDO BOULEVARD, WITHIN SAID CITY,
FOR THE PURPOSE OF INSTALLING CERTAIN
POLES, ANCHORS AND FACILITIES. ", PASSED
AND ADOPTED ON THE 2ND DAY OF JUNE, 1943.
The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, Cali-
fornia, does resolve, declare, determine and order as
follows:
SECTION 1. That Resolution No. 666, entitled:
"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING
A TEMPORARY REVOCABLE PERMIT TO SO. CALIF.
TEL. CO. TO EXCAVATE IN A CERTAIN PORTION
OF EL SEGUNDO BOULEVARD, WITHIN SAID CITY,
FOR THE PURPOSE OF INSTALLING CERTAIN
POLES, ANCHORS AND FACILITIES. ",
passed and adopted on the 2nd day of June, A. D., 1943,
be and the same is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. That nothing in this resolution
contained shall have the effect of, or in any manner what-
soever be construed as having the effect of, minimizing,
abrogating or abandoning any power, authority or right,
which the City of E1 Segundo or the City Council of said
City may have, to regulate, or control, or prescribe, rules
and regulations relating to the Southern California Telephone
Company, the public utility referred to in said Resolution
Mo. 666, or any of its rates, facilities, instrumentalities

or properties within said City, or to require said
utility to obtain a franchise to use the public streets,
avenues, alleys, ways and places within said City, as
all of such rights, powers and authorities are hereby
expressly reserved by said Council on its own behalf and
on behalf of said City.
SECTION 3. That this resolution shall take
effect immediately.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to
the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause
the same to be entered in the book of resolutions of said
City and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption
thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City
Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting at
which the same is passed and adopted.
Passed, approved and adopted this 21st day of
July, A. D., 1943.

I, Victor D. McCarthy, City Clerk of the City
of E1 Segundo, California, do hereby certify that the
whole number of members of the City Council of the said
City is five; that the foregoing resolution, being
Resolution No. 673, was duly passed and adopted by the
said City Council, approved and signed by the Mayor of
said City, and attested by the City Clerk of said City
all at a regular meeting of the said Council held on
the 21st day of July, A. D., 1943, and that the same was
so passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Hesser, Peterson, Selby and
Mayor Love ;
NOES: Councilmen None ;
ABSENT: Councilman Gerow
