A RESOLUTION OF THE MY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, REPEALING
RESOLUTION NO. 646 OF SAID COUNCIL, ENTITLED:
"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING
TO STANDARD OIL CO::PANY OF CALIFORNIA, A
CERTAIN PE'R14IT AUTHORIZING IT TO CONSTRUCT
A TUMTEL ACROSS A MiTAIN PORTION OF COAST
BOULEVARD '1ITHIN SAID CITY." PASSED AND
ADOPTED ON TH3 3RD DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1943.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of
E1 Segundo, California, has received the following
communication, to —wit:
"Hon. City Council, Larch 4, 1943
City of El Segundo,
E1 Segundo, California.
City of E1 Segundo,
Coast Boulevard,
Crossing -Salt Water Intake
Line, autaaiene Plant
El Segundo.
"Gentlemen:
"Reference is made to Resolution 646 adopted
February 3, 1943.
"Standard Oil Company of California, or its
assigns, has the right at all times to install
and maintain across Coast Boulevard pipe lines and
conduits for the transportation of oil, petroleum,
gas or water. It therefore seems unnecessary to
have Resolution 646 in effect, and we hereby re-
quest that it be rescinded.
"As a matter of record, we would appreciate
having for our files, however, your regular form
of excavation permit.

AND, 11HEREAS, this Council finds the facts to
be as set forth in said communication;
NO'd, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
E1 Segundo, California, does resolve, declare and determine
as follows:
SECTION 1. That Resolution No. 646 of the City
Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, entitled:
"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING
TC STANDARD OIL COMPANY OF CALIFORNIA A
CERTAIN PERMIT AUTHORIZING IT TO CONSTRUCT
A TU >TNEL ACROSS A CERTAIN PORTION OF COAST
BOUL VARD :4ITHIN SAID CITY. ",
passed and adopted on the 3rd day of February, 1. D., 1943,
shall be and the same is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. That this resolution shall take effect
immediately.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to
the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause
the same to be entered in the book of resolutions of said
City and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption
thereof in the records of the proce -dings of the City Council
of said City in the minutes of the meeting at which the same
is passed and adopted.
Passed, approved and adopted this loth day of
March, A. D., 1943.

I, Victor D. McCarthy, City Clerk of the City
of E1 Segundo, California, do hereby certify that the
whole number of members of the City Council of the said
City is five; that the foregoing resolution, being
Resolution No. 651 , was duly passed and adopted by the
said City Council, approved and signed by the Mayor of
said City and attested by the City Clerk of said City
all at a regular meeting; of the said Council held on
the 10th day of March, A. D., 1943, and that the same was
so passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Peterson, Selby and Mayor Love.
NOES: Councilmen None ;
ABSENT: Councilmen Gerow and Hesser
