A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, CHANGING
THE NAME OF A CERTAIN PUBLIC STREET WITHIN
SAID CITY, TO -WIT: THE NAME OF THAT CERTAIN
PUBLIC STREET KNO14N AS NORTHROP STREET
BETWEEN THE SOUTHERLY LINE (LINT. WEST)
OF IMPERIAL HIGHWAY AND A POINT 1402 FEET
SOUTHERLY OF SAID SOUTHERLY LINE, TO
DOUGLAS STREET.
The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, does resolve, declare and determine as follows:
SECTION 1. That the name of that certain public
street, within the City of E1 Segundo, California, named
and known as Northrop Street, between the southerly line
(line west) of Imperial Highway and a point 1402 feet
southerly of said southerly line, be and the same is hereby
changed to Douglas Street, and the same shall hereafter be
named, designated and known as, and is hereby so named
"Douglas Street ".
SECTION 2. That the action herein taken and the
name herein designated shall control over all previous
actions at any time heretofore taken with reference to
the name of said street.
SECTION 3. That this resolution shall take
effect immediately.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify
to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall
cause the same to be entered in the book of resolutions

of said City, and shall make a minute of the adoption
thereof in the records of the City Council of said City
in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed
and adopted; and shall cause a certified copy of this
resolution to be transmitted to the office of the County
Surveyor of Los Angeles County, California, and a second
copy thereof,duly certified, to be forwarded to the
office of the County Recorder of said Los Angeles County,
California.
Passed, approved and adopted this 2nd day of
December, A. D., 1942.

by the City Clerk of said City, all at a regular meetin-, of
the said Council held on the 2nd day of December, 1942,
and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following
