A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, CALLING
AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE HOLDING OF A GENERAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY
ON TUESDAY, THE 14TH DAY OF APRIL, 1942, FOR
THE ELECTION OF CERTAIN MUNICIPAL OFFICERS
OF SAID CITY.
The City Council of the City of El Segundo,
California, does hereby resolve, declare, determine and
order as follows:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the requirements of
the laws of the State of California relating to municipal
corporations of the sixth class within said State, there
shall be, and there is hereby ordered held in the City of
El Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of California, on
Tuesday, the 14th day of April, 1942, a regular general
municipal election of the qualified electors of the said
city for the purpose of eleoting two members of the City
Council of said city for the full term of four years.
SECTION 2. That the ballots to be used at said
election shall be, both as to form and matter contained
therein, such as may be required by law to be used thereat.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of said city is
hereby authorized, instructed and directed to prooure any
and all official ballots, and all supplies, equipment and
paraphernalia that may be necessary in order to properly
and lawfully conduct said election.
SECTION 4. That for the purpose of holding said
election there shall be seven voting precincts within the
said oity, consisting of the regular voting precincts es-
tablished for the holding of general state and county

elections, as follows:
Voting Precinct "A" shall be known as such, and
shall include all of the territory in the City of
E1 Segundo, California, within the exterior boundaries
of E1 Segundo City Precinct No. 1. as established by
the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County,
California, for state and county elections.
That the polling place in said Voting Precinct
"A" shall be in the dwelling house located at 835
Loma Vista Street, in said city, and the board of
election to conduct the said election in said Voting
Precinct "A" shall be and the same is hereby appointed
as follows:
Inspector: Mrs. Grace G. Kull
Judge: Harry R. Zettlemoyer
Clerks: Mrs. Ruth L. Clifford, and
Mrs. Rosalie M. Faeh
Voting Precinct "B" shall be known as such, and
shall include all of the territory in the City of
El Segundo, California, within the exterior boundaries
of E1 Segundo City Precinct No. 2, as established by
the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County,
California, for state and county elections.
That the polling place in said Voting Precinct
"B" shall be in the dwelling house located at 515 W.
Walnut Avenue, in said city, and the board of election
to conduct the said election in said Voting Precinct
"B" shall be and the same is hereby appointed as follows:

Voting Precinct "C" shall be known as such, and
shall include all of the territory in the City of El
Segundo, California, within the exterior boundaries
of E1 Segundo City Precinct No. 3, as established by
the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County,
California, for state and county elections.
That the polling place in said Voting Precinct
"C" shall be in the dwelling house located at 506 Arena
Street, in said city, and the board of election to
conduct the said election in said Voting Precinct "C"
shall be and the same is hereby appointed as follows:

Judge: Mrs, Anna Kenney,
Clerks: Mrs. Georgia Lee, and
Mrs, Effie G. Dix
Voting Precinct "D" shall be known as such, and
shall include all of the territory in the City of E1
Segundo, California, within the exterior boundaries
of E1 Segundo City Precinct No. 4, as established by
the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County,
California, for state and county elections.
That the polling place in said Voting Precinct
"D" shall be in the Council Chamber of the City Hall,
203 Richmond Street, in said city, and the board of
election to conduct the said election in said Voting
Precinct "D" shall be and the same is hereby appointed
as follows:

Voting Precinct "E" shall be known as such, and
shall include all of the territory in the City of E1
Segundo, California, within the exterior boundaries
of E1 Segundo City Precinct No. 5, as established by
the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County, Cali-
fornia, for state and county elections.
That the polling place in said Voting Precinct
"E" shall be in the dwelling house located at 426
Whiting Street, in said city, and the board of election
to conduct the said election in said Voting Precinct
"E" shall be and the same is hereby appointed as follows:
Inspector: Mrs. Adelaide R. Heath,
Nudge: Mrs. Mabel Fitzeerald
Clerks: Mrs. Jessie Allen, and
Mrs. Effie R. Magee .
Voting Precinct "F" shall be known as such, and
shall include all of the territory in the City of E1
Segundo, California, within the exterior boundaries
of El Segundo City Precinct No. 6, as established by
the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County, Cali-
fornia, for state and county elections.
That the polling place in said Voting Precinct
"F" shall be in the dwelling house located at 403
Whiting Street, in said city, and the board of election
to conduct the said election in said Voting Precinct "F"
shall be and the same Is hereby appointed as follows:

Voting Precinct "G" shall be known as such, and
shall include all of the territory in the City of E1
Segundo, California, within the exterior boundaries
of E1 Segundo City Precinct No. 7, as established by
the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County, Cali-
fornia, for state and county elections.

All of the persons hereinabove named are hereby
appointed as such officers respectively, and their oompen-
sation is hereby fixed at the sum of Eight Dollars ($8.00)
each for said election.
That the rental for each precinct polling place,
for which a rental is required to be paid, shall be the sum
of Ten Dollars ($10.00) each for said election.
SECTION 5. That the polls for said election shall
be open from six o'clock A. M. to seven o'clock P. M. of the
said day of said election, except as provided in Section
5734 of the EleotlonsCode of the State of California.
SECTION 6. That notice of the time and place of
holding said election is hereby given; and that the adoption
of this resolution and the publication thereof, as herein-
after directed, together with such other notice, or notices,
as may be required to be given or published by law, shall
constitute the notice of said election.

SECTION 7. That the City Clerk of said city is
hereby authorized, instructed and directed to give notice
of said election in the time, form and manner as required
by law.
SECTION 8. That the City Clerk shall certify to
the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter
the same in the book of original resolutions of said city;
shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in
the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said
city in the minutes of the meeting at which the same was
passed and adopted, and shall cause the same to be publish-
ed once before the day of said election in the E1 Segundo
Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published and circulated within said city, and which is
hereby designated for that purpose.
Passed, approved and adopted this 27th day of
February, A. D., 1942.

the 27 th day of February, A. D., 1942, and that the same
was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
