CC RESOLUTION 566RESOLUTION NO. 566 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING A TE14PORARY REVOCABLE PERMIT TO SHELL OIL COMPANY, INCORPORATED, TO INSTALL A CERTAIN CRUDE OIL PIPE LINE IN CERTAIN PORTIONS OF SEPULVEDA BOULEVARD, IMPERIAL HIGHWAY AND EL SEGUNDO BOULEVARD, WITHIN SAID CITY. The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, does resolve, declare and determine as follows: SECTION 1. That the application of SHELL OIL COMPANY, INCORPORATED, dated May 28, 1941, for a permit to excavate, install and maintain the following crude oil pipe line within the City of E1 Segundo, California, to -wit: A 10" crude oil pipe line, in Sepulveda Boulevard, from the Northerly City limits of the City of E1 Segundo, being the center line of Imperial Highway, Southerly 350 feet, more or less, also from a point 210 feet Northerly of the center line of E1 Segundo Boulevard, for a distance of 1400 feet, more or less, Northerly, and also across El Segundo Boulevard at a point 160 feet, more or less, Easterly of Sepulveda Boule- vard, as shown on Map g -370, on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, open to public inspection, hereby incorporated herein and made a part hereof,- said exoava- tion to be 1800 feet long and 2 feet wide, be, and the same is hereby ordered placed on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City for the purposes of identification and reference. SECTION 2. That the permit applied for in said application hereinabove referred to in Section 1 of this resolution, shall be and the same is hereby authorized and granted subject to each and all of the terms, oondi- tions and provisions of Resolution No. 427 of said City, entitled: Ile NA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING RULES AND REGULATIONS RELATING TO THE FILING AND GRANTING OF APPLICATIONS FOR TEMPORARY PERMITS TO INSTALL, LAY, REPAIR, REMOVE OR ABAN- DON PIPE LINES IN THE PUBLIC STREETS AND PLACES OF SAID CITY. ", passed and adopted on the 17th day of November, 1937, and particularly to the terms, provisions, conditions, rules and regulations relating to LONGITUDINAL ENCROACH- MENTS, as set forth in Subdivision B of the "Rules and Regulations" contained in Section 5 of said Resolution No. 427. SECTION 3. That the said application herein- above referred to in Section 1 of this resolution, on file as aforesaid, and the said Resolution No. 427, which is also on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, are hereby referred to and by this re- ference expressly incorporated herein and made a part hereof. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall issue to the said Shell Oil Company, Incorporated, a certified copy of this resolution, and such certified copy so issued to such permittee, shall be and constitute the permit herein authorized and granted. SECTION 5. That as provided in Section 8 of said Resolution No. 427, the permit herein granted is temporary only, and shall be revocable at any time by the City Council of said City without notice, without cause and without liability, and must be accepted by the said permittee accordingly. SECTION 6. That the said permit shall not become effective until the same is accepted by the said permittee. Said acceptance must be in writing and may 2- be in the form of a letter signed by such permittee, and filed with the City Clerk, evidencing such acceptance. SECTION 7, That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause the same to be entered in the book of resolutions of said City and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
