Segundo that the acquisition of said parcel of property by the
City can best oe accomplished by an agreement to purchase tax
deed t__ereto, pursuant to Sections 3897.3 and 3897d, Political
Code of the State of California;
NUN, T1iLREFORE, TuE CTTY COUNCIL OF TAE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO
DOES RESOLVE, DLCLARE, Ai�D DETERI4INE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the .Mayor of the City of El Segundo is
hereby authorized and ordered to subscribe the ,ame of the City
to an application to the board of Supervisors of Los Angeles
County, for an agreement to purchase a tax deed to that certain
parcel of real property situate within the City of E1 Segundo,
and more particularly described as follows, to -wit;
Lot 6, Block 106, 1,1 Segundo
Sheet 45, as per map recorded
in nook 20, page 114 of '_daps,
Records of Los Angeles County,
Cal Lfornia;
and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to attest
the same, and to affix thereon the seal of said City.
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed
to subscribe the name of the Cit; of El Segundo to an agreement
w1tr the Board of Supervisors of the Count- of Los Angeles, sub-
ject to the approval of the State Controller of the State of
California, to purchase said parcel of property heretofore des-
cribed in Section 1, wP.ich said agreement shall contain the pro-
vision that the purchase price of said parcel of property shall be
t.e sum of Five (45.00) Dollars; and the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to attest tide same, and to affix tnereen
the seal of the City.
Section 3. That the City Attorney be, and he is hereby
authorized to take such steps and proceedings, to make such ar�,u-
ments, to prepare questionnaires and any and all documents necess

Comes now the City of El Segundo, a municipal corporation,
and a political subdivision of the State of California, and files
this, its Application to purchase the States title to the herein-
after described parcel of real property, and with respect thereto
alleges:
1. That said parcel of real property In situate in the City
of E1 Segundo, more particularly described as follows:
Lot S, Block 108, E1 Segundo Sheet #5,
as per map recorded in book 20,page 114
of 'laps, Records of Los Angeles County,
California.
2. That said parcel of real property was heretofore, on the
30th day of June, 1932, sold to the State of California for non -
payment of taxes which had been legally levied, and which were a
lien upon said property; that thereafter, and on the 1st day of
July, 1937, said parcel of property was, by deed No. 558985, deeded
to the State of California, no redemption having been made by any
person entitled to rbdeem.
3. That said taxes so levied upon said parcel of real pro-
perty, the non - payment of which caused said property to be deeded
to the State of California, included taxes levied by the City of
El Segundo, which were to be collected by the County officials of
the County of Los Angeles.

4. That said parcel of property yields no revenue either to
the City of E1 Segundo, or to the County of Los Angeles, or to any
school district or otter political subdivision of the State of
California, because of the fact that it has heretofore been sold
to tLo State of California, and is no longer on thetax rolls.
5. That the Cit,,, of El Segundo is desirous of obtaining tit .
to said parcel of property for a public purpose, to -wit, for a wat
well site, and the City of El Segundo now has sufficient funds
available to complete such i?rprovement.
6. That in the opinion of the Cit,r Council, the acquisition
of said parcel of property by the City can best be accomplished by
an a�-reement to be made and entered into by and between the City
and the Hoard of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles, to pur-
chase a tax deed thereto, as provided by Sections 3897.3 and 3S97d,
Political Code of the State of California.
7. That the Supreme Court of the State of California did,
on February 25, 1935, approve the constitutionality of the said
Political Code Section 3697d.
8. That the City of E1 Segundo, being fully advised in res-
pect to all of the matters heretofore set out, does hereby offer
and agree to enter into an agreement wits. the 3oard of Supervisors
of Los Angeles County to purchase said parcel of real property
heretofore described, for the sum of Five ($5,00) Dollars, said
agreement to further provide that the City of E1 Segundo shall
pay the necessary expenses of entering into said agreement, includ-
ing costs of Diving notice and other costs, as provided by Section
3897d, Political Code of the State of California.
WHtKi.FORE, the City of El Segundo prays that this application
be granted.

Los Angeles, State of California, and the City of El Segundo,
a municipality of the Etate of California, subject to the approval
of the State Controller of the State of California,

the City of El Segundo, more particularly described as Lot 80
Block 1080 El Segundo Sheet #5, as per map recorded in Book 20,
pa,,a 124 of P, "aps, Records of Los Angeles County, California, was
heretofore, on the 1st day of July, 1937, deeded to she State of
California for non payment of taxes vil iel had beer le-ally levied
and which were a lien upon said parcel of real property; and

WHEREAS, it is believed by the Council of the City of El
Segundo that the acquisition of said parcel of property by the
City car best be accomplished by an agreement to purchase tax
deed thereto, pursuant to Sections 36:97.3 and 3897d, Political
Code of the State of California; and
WIELREAS, in the ,judgment of the board of Supervisors, it
would be to the best interest of the County of Los Angeles and the
State of California to sell its interest in said parcel of property
to the City of El Segundo;
ITOW, TIERhYOHL, IT IS HERESY MUALLY AGRl]ED AS FOLLOWS:

1. That as provided by Section 3897d, Political Code, the j

cost of the giving of the notice of this agreement shall be paid
by the City of E1 Segundo.
2. That the City shall buy and pay for said parcel of real
property 'hereinafter described upon the followin terms and condi-
tions: that said City shall pay to the County Tax Collector of

said County the sun of Five (f5.00) Dollars for said parcel of
real -property, upon receipt by the Tax. Collector of said sum, said

3. The real property which is the subject of this agreement
