CC RESOLUTION 474314(b RESOLUTION NO. 474 A RFSOEUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SE,GITNDO, CALIFORNIA, AWARDING TO PACIFIC FENCE COMPANY A CERTAIN CONTRACT FOR FENCING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN SAID CITY, UNDER SPECIFIOATIONS NO. WDF -1 -1939 OF SAID CITY. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, has heretofore in the manner provided by law, duly advertised for bids for furnishing all labor and materials necessary for fencing certain real property belonging to said City of E1 Segundo, and located at the Southwest corner of Palm Avenue and California Street within said City; AND, WHEREAS, at the time fixed for opening and con- sidering all of said bids, to -wit, the hour of 7:15 o'clock p. m. on Wednesday, the 3rd day of May; 1939, said Council did publicly open, examine and declare all bids received, and did take all of said bids under advisement until the hour of 7:15 o'clock p. m. on Wednesday, the 10th day of May, 1939; AND, WFEREAS, said last mentioned time has now arrived and said Council has reached its decision in the said matter; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, does resolve, declare and determine as follows: SECTION 1. That the portion of the bid of PACIFIC FENCE COMPANY, dated May 3, 1939, which said Council determines to be as follows, to -wit: "We are pleased to quote you the following prices for furnishing and installing the following fencing for the Water Department property on the Southwest corner of Palm and California Avenues: Length of fence to be 917 feet over all, including one 16 -ft. and one 10 -ft. double drive gates, one 4 -ft. single gate, fabric to be 6 ft. high, #11 gauge, 2 inch mesh, hot -dip galvanized after weaving Chain Link, in- stalled on new 2 inch O.D. galvanized pipe line posts, set 30 inches in concrete footings, and spaced not to exceed 10 feet on centers. 1- 3i4-1 Posts to be equipped with heavy extension arms made to carry three strands of 4 point #12f' gauge barb wire. These tops will extend over the outside of the posts to exclude water. Terminal posts to be 3" O.D. new galvanized pipe equipped with necessary Chain Link fittings, and 1 -5/8" O.D. horizontal bracing. Corner posts shall have 45 degree heavy malleable extensions to take three strands of barb wire. Divid- ing fence shall have no barb wire and shall be six feet over all in height. All gate frames shall be 1 -5/8" O.D. new galvan- ized pine filled with fabric to match the fence. On the above job we quote a price of Q"553.00 including state sales tax and necessary bonds. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
