We propose to furnish Colton Hydrated Lime in 50 -pound paper bags, manufactured by the California Portland Cement Company at Colton. We would respectfully call your attention to the attached analysis, as Colton Hydrated Lime differs in several respects from the items mentioned in the 'request for bid'. We believe Colton Lime to be a trifle more efficient than the standard set forth. Our bid sets forth, individually, the several items composing the net cost at El Segundo. We propose to haul this lime ourselves, but if the City of E1 Segundo should desire to haul it themselves, it would be satisfactory to us, and the mill base price would prevail. These prli2es are not subject to discount. Hydrated Lime, f. o. b. Colton mill, $9.415 .28245 Sales Tax 2.80 Cartage, making a net cost to the city, delivered to the plant, of 412.497 The analysis submitted is an average analysis, and, though our raw material is very uniform, it does vary slightly, and principally in the magnesium oxide. We usually have a high of not to exceed 1.50 and a low of around 0.75. Because of our geographical location, we are in a position to give very prompt delivery service, in fact, can assure you of a service of less than 24 hours."
