The City Council of the City of ,4'1 Segundo,
California, does resolve, declare and determine as follows:
SLMION 1. That the application of RICHFIELD OIL
CORPORATION, dated the 11th day of December, 1937, for a
permit to install and maintain the followinb pipe line,
within the City of E1 Segundo, California, to -wit:
One 8" line in Franklin Avenue be31rnin.r, on
the E. line of Oregon St. llt South of
C. L. of Franklin; thence 7,esterly parallel
to said C. L. to e point 8t i. of C. L. of
Sheldon St.; thence One 6" line estendin,
northerly 81 Easterly of & parallel to said
�,.L. of Sheldon to the C. 0, of dolly Avenue;
th. -lasterly to P. L. of Sheldon St.,
be, and t'-- same is hereby ordered placed on file in the
office of the City Clerk of saic City for the purposes of
identification and reference.
S_CTION 2. That the permit applied for in saic
application hereinabove referred to in Section 1 of this
resolution, shall be and the same is hereby authorized and
.ranted subject to each a nd all of the terms, conditions
and provisions of Resolution No. 427 of saic: City, entitled:

passed and adopted on the 17th aay of November, 1937, and
particularly to the term,, provisions, conditions, rules

and regulations relating to LONGITUDINAL ENCROACHMENTS,
as set forth in Subdivision B of the "Rules and Reculations"
contained in Section 5 of said Resolution No. 427.
SECTION 3. That the said application hereinabove
referred tc in Section 1 of this resolution, on file as
aforesaid, and the said Resolution No. 427, which is also
on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, are
hereby referred to and by this reference expre sly in-
corporated herein and made a part hereof.
SdCTIGT� 4. That the City Clerk shall issue to
the said Richfield Oil Corporation, a certified copy of
this resolution, and such certified copy so issued to
such permittee, shall be and constitute the permit herein
authorized and granted.
SECTIO„ 5. That as provided in Section 8 of
said Resolution No. 427, the permit herein granted is
temporary only, and shall be revocable at any time by
the City Council of said City without notice, without
cause and without liability, and must be accepted by the
said permittee accordingly.
SECTION 6. The said permit shall not become
effective until the same is accepted by the said permittee.
Said acceptance must be in writin and may be in the form
of a letter signed by such permittee, and filed with the
City Clerk, evidencing, such acceptance.
SECTION 7. That the City Clerk shall certify to
the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause
the same to be entered in the book of resolutions of said
City and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption
thereof in the records o the proceedings of the City
Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting at
which the same is passed and adopted.

438, was duly passed and adopted by the said City Council,
approved and signed by the Mayor of said City and attested
by the City Clerk of said City, all at a regular meeting
of the said Council held on the 15th day of December, A.
1937, and that the same was so passed and adopted the the
following vote:
