RESOLUTION NO. 425.
A RESOLUTION OF 'THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE
HEALTH OFFICER OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIF-
ORNIA, TO ENFORCE ;4ITHIN SAID CITY THE PRO-
VISIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 95 THEREOF RELATING
TO PUBLIC HEALTH.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of M Segundo,
California, did heretofore, on the 13th day of October, 1937, by
resolution of said Council duly adopted on said date, authorize and
instruct the execution by the City of E1 Segundo, of an agreement with
the County of Los Angeles for the rendering by the County Health
Officer of said County, of certain public health functions within
said City;
AND, WHE7?StS, subsequent to said 13th day of October,
1937, said agreement was duly and regularly executed by and on behalf
of said City, and by and on behalf of said County;
AND, MEREAS, under the provisions of said agreement the
said City shall make request in writing to the County Health Officer
for the performance of such public health services, designating such
ordinance or health ordinances as said City desires to have said
Health Officer enforce therein;
NOVI, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of El
Segundo, California, does hereby resolve, declare and determine as
follows:
SECTION 1. That the County Health Officer of the
County of Los Angeles, State of California, under and pursuant to the
provisions of that certain agreement authorized by the City Council
of the City of E1 Segundo, California, on the 13th day of October,
1937, between the County of Los Angeles, State of California, and the

City of El Segundo, a Municipal Corporation located in said County,
for the rendering of public health services by said County within
said City, be and he is hereby requested to enforce within said City
the public health services and health functions required of the Health
Officer or Health Authorities, in and under the provisions of
Ordinance No. 95 of said City, entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO,
CALIFORNIA, REGULATING THE =ING OF
DOGS AND THEIR RUNNING AT LiURGE WITHIN
THE SAID CITY. ",
passed and adopted on the 7th day of August, A. D., 1923.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the
book of original resolutions of said City; shall make a minute of
the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings
of the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at
which the same is passed and adopted, and shall prepare and forward
to the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County, and to the Health
Officer of said County, certified copies of this resolution for
their information and files in the matter.
SECTION 3. That this resolution shall take effect
immediately.
Passed, approved and adopted this 17th day of November,

I, Victor D. McCarthy, City Clerk of the City of E1
Segundo, California, do hereby certify that the whole number of
members of the City Council of the said City is five; that the
foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 425, was duly passed and
adopted by the City Council of the said City, approved and signed by
the Mayor of said City and attested by the City Clerk of said City,
all at a regular meeting of the said Council held on the 17th day
of November, A. D., 1937, and that the same was so passed and adopted
by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Gerow, Hesser, Selby and Mayor Binder;
Noes: Councilmen None;
Absent: Councilman Love.
