A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZ-
ING THE SALE TO M. H. McINTIRE OF ONE
USED AUSTIN HORSE -DRAWN ROAD GRADER OWNED
BY THE SAID CITY OF EL SEGUNDO.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of El
Segundo, California, has heretofore in the manner provided
by law duly and regularly advertised for sealed bids for
the sale by said City of one used Austin Horse -Drawn Road
Grader, now owned by said City and no longer needed for
municipal use;
AND, WHEREAS, at the time for opening and con-
sidering said bids, to -wit, the hour of 7:15 o'clock p. m.
on Wednesday, the 21st day of April, 1937, said Council
has publicly opened, examined and declared the two bids
received therefor, has duly considered the some and has
reached its decision in the said matter;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
E1 Segundo, California, does resolve, declare and determine
as follows:
SECTION 1. That the bid of M. H. McIntire,
offering to pay to said City the scan of $26.00 for said
used horse -drawn Austin road grader, be and the same is
hereby accepted as the best bid received therefor, and
said Council hereby authorizes the sale of said used
road grader to said M. H. McIntire.
SECTION 2. That the one other bid received for
said grader is hereby rejected, and the City Clerk is
hereby authorized and instructed to return the deposit
of said unsuccessful bidder.

SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify
to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall
cause the original of the same to be entered in the book
of resolutions of said City, aid shall make a minute of
the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the
proceedings of the City Council of said City in the
minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and
adopted.
Passed, approved and adopted this 21st day Of
April, A. D., 1937.

I, Victor D. McCarthy, City Clerk of the City of
E1 Segundo, California, do hereby certify that the whole
number of members of the City Council of the said City is
five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No.
371, was passed and adopted by the said City Council,
approved and signed by the Mayor of said City, and attested
by the City Clerk thereof, all at a regular meeting of the
said Council held on the 21st day of April, A. D., 1937,
and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following
vote:
Ayes: Councilmen: Gerow, Hesser, Love, Selby and
Mayor Binder ;
Noes: Councilmen: None;
Absent: CCuncilmen: None .
