CC RESOLUTION 367RESOLUTION NO. 367 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLU'T'ION NO. 340 OF SAID CITY COUNCIL, ENTITLED: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A SCHEDULE OF RATES FOR WATER AND CERTAIN RULES AND RE- GUTATIONS WITH REFERENCE TO THE SERVICE OF WATER WITHIN SAID CITY FROM THE MUNICIPAL WATER WORKS DEPARTMENT THEREOF, AND REPEALING ALL PREVIOUS RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT THEREWITH ", PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED ON THE 24TH DAY JUNE, A. D., 1936, BY AMENDING SECTION 12 THERE02. The City Council of the City of El Segundo, Cali- fornia, does hereby resolve, declare and determine as follows: SECTION 1. That Section 12 of Resolution No. 340 of the said City of E1 Segundo, California, entitled: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A SCHEDULE OF RATES FOR 'HATER AND CERTAIN RULES AND RE- GULATIONS WITH REFERENCE TO THE SERVICE OF WATER WITHIN SAID CITY FROM THE MUNICIPAL WATER WORKS DEPARTMENT THEREOF, AND REPEALING ALL PREVIOUS RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT THEREWITH", passed, approved and adopted on the 24th day of Jane, A. D., 1936, be and the smme is bereby amended so as to read as follows, to -wit: "SECTION 12. Should the owner or occupant of any premises turn on the water or suffer or oause it to be turned on, or cause the disconnected pre- mises to be connected either directly or indirectly with the municipal water works system or water supply, after it has been shut off at the curb cock, it shall be shut off at the main, and a charge of $5.00 will be made by said City for the turning off 1- and turning on, which must be paid before the premises will be again connected to the municipal system. It is further provided that if any owner, occupant or tenant of any premises connected to the municipal water works system, either directly or indirectly connects or permits the connection of such premises, or water service, with that of any owner, tenant, occupant or consumer, of any other premises whose water has been turned off by the Water Department, that then and in that event the service through which such disconnected premises is served shall likewise be turned off on twenty -four hours' notice to the owner, occupant, tenant or consumer of such premises or service, and same shall not be again connected unless and until a penalty of $5.00 shall have been paid said City." SECTION 2. That said Resolution No. 340 is hereby amended as hereinabove in Section 1 of this re- solution set forth. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause the original of the same to be entered in the book of resolutions of the said City of El Segundo, and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted. McCarthy, City Clerk of the City of E1 Segundo, California, do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of the said City is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 367, was passed and adopted by the said City Council, approved and signed by the Mayor of said City, and attested by the City Clerk of said City, all at a regular meeting of the said Council held on the 31st day of March, A. D., 1937, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Gerow, Hesser, Love, Selby and Mayor Binder; NOES: Councilmen None; ABSENT: Councilmen None.
