','HER{._�S, the City Council of the City of El Segundo,
California, has heretofore in the manner provided by law,
duly and regularly advertised for bids for furnishing saic
City vlith one certain automobile for the use of the Police
Department of said Jity, and for a used automobile now ovmed
by said City;
AND, .H- ,1L.�6, at the time fixed for opening and
considering all of said bids, to -wit: the hour of ?:15
o'clock .. .., on Wednesday, the 26th day of ieptembF,r, 1934,
said Council did o -en, examine and publicly declare all bids
received, and reach its decision in the said matter;
1101,11 THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
E1 Se,-,undo, California, does resolve, declare and determine
as follows:
SECTION 1. That Item 2 of the bid of Ira E. Escobar,
dated September 26, 1934, which sand 'Council determines to
be as follows, to - net:
"Item No. 2.
One new 1934 V type 8 Cylinder ford Iiodel
40, Tudor Sedan as described in Item 1'o. 1
hereof.

be and the same is hereby accepted at the price set forth
in said bid, J5Thich is nov, on file in the office of the
City Clerk of said Jity, and which said bid so on file is
hereby expressly referred to and by this reference incor-
porated herein and made a part hereof.
The City Council also elects to accept the ofj'rr
above set forth in said bid, whereby t. e amount of "312.50
is to be deducted from the net price, for the removal of
the Generator now on thr police car owned by said Jity,
leaving the net cost to said Jity of ,x386.89.
S„CTIOE 2. That all bids received for sm. d new
automobile and for the used automobile ovxied by said Oity,
with the exception of It, m 2 of the bid of said Ira ..
Escobar, are hereby rejected; th( City J1erk is hereby
authorized and - nstructed to return the checks of all
unsuccessful bidlers; and the proper officers are .,ereb,,
authorized to execute and deliver jhe necessary conveyance
papers to said used car.

SECTI0IT 3. That the City Clerk shall prepare
copies of this resolution, after the passage and adoption
thereof, and shall affix to such copies at the end_ thereof,
after the Clerk's certificate, forms for the approval of
the successful bidder, and on the part of said City, and
such copies of this Resolution, so approved and accepted
by the successful bidder and by and on behalf of said
City, shall constitute the contract for furnishin- to
said City the said automobile for the use of the Police
Department, and for said used automobile nov, ovmed by
said City, bid upon, pursuant Lo the award hereinaoove
made, and the i:ayor of the City of it Segundo is hereb-
authorized on behalf of said City, to affix the approval
and acceptance of said Jit,y to such contract, and said
City Clerk is hereby authorized and_ instructed to attest
the same on behalf of said City and to affix the seal of
said City thereto.
SECTI011 4. That the City Clerk shall certify
to the passage and adontion of this resolution; shall
cause the original of the same to be entered in the book
of resolutions of said City, and shall make a minute of
the passage and adontion thereof in the records of the
proceedings of the Jity Council of said City in the minutes
of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
