RESOLUTION NO. 270.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE IMPROVE ENT OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF
EL SEGUNDO BOULEVARD AND THE nIPROMENT OF A
CERTAIN PORTION OF CENTER STREET WITHIN SAID CITY
IS OF GENERAL COUNTY INTEREST AND THAT COUNTY
AID SHOULD BE EXTENDED THEREFOR.
The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California,
does hereby resolve, declare and determine as follows:
SECTION 1. That that certain portion of E1 Segundo
Boulevard, between Richmond Street and Inglewood- Redondo Road,
within said City, and that certain portion of Center Street,
between Grand Avenue and Imperial Highway, within said City,
are being and will be used by a large number of residents of
Los Angeles County generally,not residents of said City, and
that such use by non - residents of said City necessitates the
improvement of said public streets and said City Council hereby
requests assistance from the County of Los Angeles to the extent
of 900 man -days at $3.20 per man day, making a total of financial
assistance hereby requested from said County in the sum of $2880.00
for the improvement of said portions of said streets.
SECTION 2. That it is hereby further found and determined
that the nature of the proposed improvements is as follows, to -wit:
Trimming banks, leveling shoulders, pulling stumps and filling
ditches in said portions of said streets.
SECTION 3. That in consideration of the furnishing of
the labor and assistance hereinabove referred to, said City of E1
Segundo hereby assures and guarantees to said County of Los Angeles
that said City of E1 Segundo will furnish medical treatment and
care for persons injured in the course of such work where liability

therefor exists under the Workman's Compensation Act of the State of
California and that the said City will assume any liability for treat-
ment and compensation which may exist under said Act, and that it will
save said County harmless therefrom.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this resolution, shall enter the same in the book of
resolutions of said City, making a minute of the passage and adoption
thereof in the minutes of the nesting at which the same is passed and
adopted, and cause a certified copy thereof to be forwarded to the
proper officials of Los Angeles County, having charge of matters herein
referred to.

California, do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the
Gity Council of the said City is five; that the foregoing resolution,
being Resolution No. 270, was passed and adopted by the said City Council,
approved and signed by the Mayor of said City, and attested by the City
Clerk of said City, all at a special meeting of the said Council held
on the 16th day of February, 1933, and that the same was so passed and
adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Gerow, %rimmel, Love, Selby and Mayor Binder.
NOES: Councilmen None.
ABSENTS Councilmen None.
