CC RESOLUTION 247RESOLUTION NO. 247 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SF,GUNDO, CALIFORNIA, OVERRULING AND DENYING ALL PROTESTS -''BIND OBJECTIONS AGAINST THE '4ORS OR IMPROVEMENT CONTEMPLATED IN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 243, OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SAID CITY, AND AGAINST THE EXTENT OF THE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT THEREIN REFERRED TO; AND FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT SUCH PROTESTS AND OBJECTIONS ARE MADE BY TIE OENERS OF LESS THAN ONE -HALF OF THE AREA OF THE PROPERTY PROPOSED TO HE ASSESSED FOR SAID IMPROVEMENT. The City Council of the City of El Segundo, California, does resolve, declare and determine as fellows: SECTION 1. That the written protests and ob- jections of IA. Mulcahy and D. H. Thornton, owners oi' property lying within the district proposed to be assessed for the proposed work or improvement of certain portions of Imperial Highway (formerly Collingwood Street), a boundary line street within the City of E1 Segundo and the City of Los Angeles, California, as contemplated in Resolution of Intention No. 243 of the City Council of said City of E1 Segundo, being all of the protests and objeotions filed and received against the said work or improvement, are made by the owners of less than one-h, of the area of the property proposed to be assessod fc said improvement, and that this Council deems and fir the said protests and objections, and each and all o them, to be without merit; and that the action rep after taken by this Council is for the best interes 1- 0 of the property owners owning property within the said district, and of the public of said City of E1 Segundo, as well. SECTION 2. That therefore the protests and /or objections of the said M. Mulcahy and D. H. Thornton, and all protests and objections of every kind presented and /or filed against the proposed work or improvement above referred to and as contemplated under said Resolution of Intention No. 243 of this Council, be, and the same are hereby overruled and denied. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution by an affirmative vote of more than four - fifths of the members of the City Council of said City, to -wit: by a unanimous, affirmative vote of said Council; shall enter the same in the book of resolutions of said City, and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
