A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AVENDING RESOLUTION NO. 209 OF SAID CITY ENTITLED: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A SCHEDULE OF RATES FOR t"IATER, AND CERTAIN RULES AND REGULATIONS TITH REFERENCE TO THE SERVICE OF LATER UITHIN SAID CITY FROV[ THE IMICIPAL WATER WORKS DEPARTMENT THESEEOF, AND REPEALING ALL PREVIOUS RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT THEREWITH ", ADOPTED ON THE 25TH DAY OF JANUARY, 1929, BY AMENDING SECTION 2 THEREOF. The City Council o£. the City of 31 Segundo, California, does resolve, declare and determine as follows: S CTION 1. That Section 2 of Resolution No. 209 of the City of El Segundo, California, entitled : - "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A SCHEDULE OF RATES FOR WATER, AND CERTAIN RULES AND REGULATIONS ;JITH REFERENCE TO THE SERVICE OF 17ATER WITHIN SAID CITY FROM THE MUNICIPAL IATER i'JORKS DEPARTMENT THEREOF, AND REPEALING ALL PREVIOUS RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT THERF,,ZTR ", passed, approved and adopted on the 25th day of January, A. D., 1929, be, and the sans is hereby amended so as to read as follows: "SECTION 2. Domestic Rates: That the rates for domestic water service vIthin said City shall be as follows: 1- i4.5Z5 14�:Vf= Minimum rate an metered services, ;;1.50 per month for the first 1200 feet, 51 per 100 feet for all over 1200 feet, Automatic Sprinkler Service 2 in., x`1.00 per month, Automatic Sprinkler Service 3 in., 1.50 per month, Automatic Sprinkler Service 4 in., X2.00 per month, Automatic Sprinkler Service 6 in., 'x4.00 per month, Private Fire Hydrant at 25� per month. For all other purposes: 100 Lin. feet settling graded street That the time and manner of payment of the aforesaid rates shall be as follows: All rates except meter rates, are due and pay- able in advm ce, and meter rates are due and payable at the end of the month, excepting that a deposit may be required thereon in an amount not exceeding the estimated quantity of water consumed in two months. Bills become delinquent 15 days after presenta- tion, and if not paid the water may be shut off without further notice. No allowance or rebate shall be made in water rates charged against any property or premises so long as the water remains connected therewith, and full rates shall be charged against any and all property or premises as hereinbefore specified until the rater Department has been notified in writing to shut off or disconnect the water therefrom. Any complaint in regard to the rating of property must be made at the office, and the Adjuster will properly rate the premises. Collectors shall not make rebates or adjust rates. All water rates shall be charged against the property on which it is furnished and against the owner thereof, and if for any cause any sums owing therefor become delinquent, the water shall be cut off, and in no case shall it be turned on to the same property until all such delinquencies shall have been paid in full. Ido change of ownership or occupancy shall affect the applica- tion of this section. Any damage to meters resulting from careless- ness or neglect or either of them, as well as any damage which may result from hot water or steam from boiler or otherwise, shall be paid for to said department on pre- sentation of bill and in case such bill is not paid the water may be shut off from said premises without further notice and not turned on until all charges are paid. On failure to comply with the rules and re- gulations established as a condition to the use of water, or to pay rates or meter rent, or any charge or penalty imposed, in the time and manner herein provided, the water may be shut off until payment of the amount due is made, 3- _1461 with one dollar ("x'1.00) in addition for expense of turning water off and on. Should the occupant of the premises turn on the water or suffer or cause it to be turned on after it has been shut off at the curb cock, it will be shut off at the main, and a charge of Five Dollars ( "5.00) made fo r the expense o f turning o ff and on. " SECTION 2. That Resolution No. 209 so adopted is hereby amended as hereinabove in this resolution set fo rth. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution: shall cause the same to be entered in the Book of Resolutions of said City and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted. This resolution shall take effect on the 26th day of March, A. D. , 19 31. Passed, approved and adopted this 25th day of March, A. D., 1931.
