RESOLUTION NO. 222.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EL SEGUNDO, CALIFOINIA, ACQUIESCING IN THE REQUEST
OF THE OWNER OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN SAID CITY
TO THE SEGREGATION OR DIVISION OF CERTAIN ASSESS -
M ETS LEVIED UPON THE PROPERTY OF SUCH OWNER, FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION OF LATERAL SEWERS IN LATERAL
SEWERAGE DISTRICT NO. 2 WITHIN SAID CITY, ALSO THE
SEGREGATION OR DIVISION OF CERTAIN ASSESSMENTS
LEVIED AGAINST THE PROPERTY OF SUCH OWNER FOR THE
IMPROVEIMT CF A PORTION OF HILLCREST AVENUE AND
PINE AVENUE WITHIN SAID CITY, AS M 0VIDED FOR UNDER
RESOLUTIONSOF INTENTION NOS. 134 AND 108 RESPECTIVE-
LY OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES (NOW CITY COUNCIL) OF
SAID CITY.
MIEREAS, there has this date been presented to
this Council, the written request of George E. Renfro,
addressed to the County Auditor of Los Angeles County, Cali-
fornia, requesting that the balance due on the total assess-
ment of $255.02, levied on the Northerly 160.62 feet of the
Southerly 200.62 feet of Lot 6, Block 6, Tract 1685, as per
map recorded in Book 21, Page 98, Records of Los Angeles
County, California, under Assessment No. 885, for the im-
provement of certain public streets, avenues and alleys
within Lateral Sewerage District No. 2, by the installation
of a lateral sewerage system and appurtenances, as contemplated
under Resolution of Intention No. 134 of the Board of Trustees
(now City Council) of the said city, be segregated or divided
as follows, to -wit:
So that on the Southerly 80.62 feet of the
Northerly 120.62 feet of said Lot 6, Block 6,
Tract 1685 recorded as aforesaid, which is the
Property of George E. Renfro, there shall be
placed the sum of $89.59, this segregation being

hereby designated as Assessment No. 885 -1;
And so that on the Northerly 80 feet of
the Southerly 120 feet of Lot 6, Block 6, Tract
1685 recorded as aforesaid, which is the property
of George E. Renfro, there shall be placed the
sum of $88.90, this segregation being hereby
designated as Assessment No. 885 -2;
AMID, WBEREAS, there has this date been presented
to this Council, the written request of George E. Renfro,
addressed to the County Auditor of Los Angeles County,
California, requesting that the balance due on the total
assessmentsof $219.77, being -
$68.41 levied on the Southerly 50 b3et of the
Northerly 90 feet of Lot 6, Block 6, Tract 1685; under
Assessment No. 20;
X54.73 levied on the Southerly 40 feet of the
Northerly 130 feet of Lot 6, Block 6, Tract 1685, under
Assessment No. 21; and
$96.63 levied on the Southerly 70.62 feet of the
Northerly 200.62 feet of Lot 6, Block 6, Tract 1685, under
Assessment No. 22,-
all as per Map Book 21, Page 98 of Records of Los Angeles
County, California, under said assessments, levied for the
improvement of Hillcrest Avenue and of a certain portion
of Pine Avenue, as contemplated under ReeDlution of Intention
No. 103 of the Board of Trustees (now City Council) of said
oity,- be segregated or divided as follows, to-wit:
So that on the Southerly 80.62 feet of the North-
erly 180.62 feet of Lot 6, Block 6, Tract 1685, which is the
property of George E. Renfro, there shall be placed the sum
of $66.16, this segregation being hereby designated as
Assessment No. 20;

And so that on the Northerly 80 feet of the
Southerly 120 feet of Lot 6, Block 6, Tract 1685, which
is the property of George E. l3enfro, there shall be
placed the sum of $65.66, this segregation being hereby
designated as Assessment No, 21.
NOYu, THEREFORE, be it resolved, declared and
determined by the City Council (formerly Board of Trustees)
of the City of El Segundo, Cali:brnia, that the said Council
has no objection to the making of the division and segrega-
tion as above set forth and as requested in the said written
requests, and does hereby consent to the same;
That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same upon
the Book of Resolutions of the said city; shall cause a
certified copy thereof to be forwarded to the Auditor of
Los Angeles County, California, and shall make a minute of
the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the City
Council of said city in the minutes of the meeting at which
the some is passed and adopted.
Passed, approved and adopted this 7th day of
February, A. D., 1930.

I, Victor D. McCarthy, City Clerk of the
City of El Segundo, California, do hereby certify that the
whole number of members of the City Council of the said
city is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolu-
tion No. 222, was passed and adopted by the said City
Council, approved and signed by the Mayor of said city,
and attested by the City Clerk of said city, all at a
regular meeting of the said Council held on the 7th day
of February, 1930, and that the same was so passed and
adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen; Binder, S.rimmel, Selby and Love;
Noes: Councilmen, None;
Absent: Councilmen, Gerow.
