CC RESOLUTION 208RESOLUTION NO. 206. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AWARDING TO ANDERSON FENCE COMPANY, OF LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, THE CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTING AND COMPLETING A CERTAIN WOVEN WIRE FENCE AROUND THE RESERVOIR LOCATED AT LOMITA STREET AND GRAND AVENUE IN SAID CITY. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, Califo mia, has heretofore in the manner provided by law, duly and regularly advertised for bids for a certain woven wire fence around the reservoir located at Lomita Street and Grand Avenue in said city; AND, WHEREAS, the time for opening and consider- ing all of said bids has arrived, and said Council has publicly opened, examined and declared all bids received: AND, WHEREAS, the said Council has reached its decision in the said matter; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: SECTION 1. That the bid of Anderson Fence Company, of Los Angeles, California, dated January 24, 1929, for furnishing the labor and material for the construction of 885 lineal feet of fence, reading as follows, to-wit. "I hereby hand you a bid for material and labor for complete erection of fence of 885 lineal feet, with gates for the sum of $585.00. Should it be more or less than 885 feet, gates included adjust at 651 per foot. I will use 2 1/2" O.D. cor. or end & gate posts, it is the proper thing. The 4' gate is a stock gate of 1" O.D. pipe and is the best gate, but will give you 4' gates of 1 5/8 if wanted. Finished in 11 days. Check for $58.50.✓ sgs.oa Respectfully, Anderson Fence Co. Anderson" 1- I��:e be and the same is hereby accepted under their said bid of January 24, 1929, which said bid si now on file in the office of the City Clerk of said city, and which said bid so on file is hereby expressly referred to and by this reference irn orporated herein and made a part hereof. SECTION 2. That all bids received for said fence are hereby rejected, with the exception of the bid of said Anderson Pence Company, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed to return the checks of all unsuccessful bidders. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause the original of the some to be entered in the Book of Resolutions of the said City of E1 Segundo; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the minutes of the proceedings of the City Council of said city 0:1 the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
