RESOMUTION OF INTENTION NO. 154, TO BE ACCEPTED
ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY AND FILED FOR RQCORD IN
THr, OFFICE OF TH, COUNTY RECORDE3 OF LOS ANGEL`'3
COUNTY, CALIFORNIA.
MREA), it nru appears that there are funds in
the Cypress Y0 other street., op(nin; fund, as contemplated
in the proceedings instituted under Resolution of Intention
No. 154 of the legislative body of the City of El Segundo,
California, sufficient for the expenditures hereinafter
referred to;
AND, 7HEREA3, it appears that the public interest
and nece4sity of said city require that the various propert-
ies hereinafter referred to should be acquired for public
street parposes at the earliest convenient time;
AND, UH -R?!3, deeds to the various properties
hereinafter described have been tendered to said city for
the considerations as hereinafter expressed enabling sail'

city to acquire said properties for public street purposes
as contemplated under said proceedings;

SECTION 1. That upon proper demand therefor,
warrants for the respective amounts hereinafter set forth
after the respective properties hereinafter described, be
prepared, executed on behalf of said city by the Commis-9-
ioners for the laying out and opening of Cypress and other
streets and the proper officers of said city, on the Cypress
and other streets openinf* fund of said city, and delivered
respectively to the respective owners of the said respective
properties hereinafter described upon receipt of conveyances
of said respective properties to said city, enabling said
city and the public thereof to make use of said respective:
properties as contemplated under the proceedings above
referred to.
SECTION 2. That upon the execution of said
warrants the City Clerk of said city shall be and he is
hereby authorized and instructed to make delivery of said
respective warrants to the persons respectively entitled
to the same when satisfied by the report o-,'/responsible
title company of the City of Los Angeles, California, that
the deeds tendered said city actually convey to said city
the respective properties hereinafter referred to for the
purposes as contemplated under said proceedings, and that
said warrants when so delivered be paid out of said fund
upon presentation thereof.
SECTION 3. (1) That that certain street deed
dated the 12th day of July, A. D., 1928, from Oliver R.
Stratton and Edith Td. Stratton, his wife, to the City of
E1 Segundo, California, conveying to said city the property
in the City of El 3egando, County of Los .Angeles, State of
California, hereinafter described, to -wit:

The Northerly 40 feet of hot 12, Block 106,
E1 Segundo Sheet No. 3, in the City of E:
Segundo, recorded in Boon 20, Pages 22 -23
of iviaps, :?ecords of Los Angeles County,
California, on file in the office of the
County Recorder of said County,
for the sum of "i 875.00 , be and the same is hereby
accepted on behalf of said city, and the City Clerk of
said city is hereby authorized to deliver a vvarrant for
the sum of w 875.00 _ to the grantors named in said
deed or their order, in full payment for said deed and
property.
That that certain Partial 2econveyanee, dated
the 18th day of July, 1928, from Title Insurance and Trust
Company, a corporation of Los Angeles, California, as
Trustee under Deed of Trust made by Oliver R. Stratton
and Mrs. Oliver R. Stratton, Trustors, and reconveying
the property hereinafter described, to-wit;
The Northerly Forty-five (45) feet of Lot
Twelve (12) in Block One Hundred Six (106)
Sheet 3, df E1 Segundo Tract, as per map
recorded in Book 20, Pages 22 & 23 of Maps,
in the office of the County Recorder of
said County,
and releasing the premises described in said deed from the
lien of that certain deed of trust recorded on the 2nd day
of February, 1916, in Book 6212, Page 110 of Deeds, in the
office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, Cali-
fornia, be and the same is hereby accepted on behalf of
said city.
(2) That that certain Partial Release of Mort-
gage dated March 17th, 1928, fron, S. S. Carter and ivirs.
Billie E. Carter, his wife, releasing the real property
hereinafter described, to -wit;
The Northerly 40 feet of Lot 11, Block 13,
Tract 1685, in the City of El Segundo, re-
corded in Book 21, Page 98 of Mans, on file
in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles
County, California,

from the lien of a certain mortgage executed on the
11th day of February, 1914 by E. C. Hunter, in favor of
S. S. Carter and 'Lillie E. Carter, his wife, €.nd regis-
tered July 31, 19-.4, in Document No. F69 and entered on
Certificate of Title No. 257016 in the office of the
Registrar o Titles of Los Angeles County, California, -
be and the same is hereby accepted on behalf of said city.
SECTION 4. The said City Council hereby de-
termines that the action herein taken is required by the
public interest, convenience and necessity of said city.
SECTION F. The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause the
same to be entered in the Book of Resolutions of said City
of E1 Segundo, and shall make a minute of the adoption
thereof in the records of the City Council of said city,
in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed
and adopted.
Passed, approved and adopted this 27th day of
July, A. L., 1926.

city is five; that the foregoing resolution, being 2e-
solution No. 198, was passed and adopted by the said City
Council, approved and signed by the Mayor of said city,
and attested by the City Clerk of said city, all at a
regular meeting of the said council held on the 27th day
of July, 1926, and that the same was so passed and
adopted by the following vote:
