RESOLUTION NO. 176
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL (FORMERLY BOARD
OF TRUSTEES), OF THE CITY EL SEGUNDO$ CALIFOINTA,
DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST, CONVENIENCE
AND NECESSITY 0" SAID CITY REQUIRE THE ACTION
THEREIN TAKEN; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE AD-
VANCEMENT FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE', CYPRESS AND
OTHER STREETS OPENING FUND, PURSUANT TO PROCEEDINGS
INSTITUTED UNDER RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 154,
AS CONTEMPLATED BY LAW, OF THE SUM OF $22,758.46,
AND PROVIDING FOR THE DELIVERY OF THE: BONDS TO BE
ISSUED IN CONNECTION WITH SAID MATTER TO SAID CITY
ON ACCOUNT OF SUCH ADVANCEMENT.
WHEREAS, pursuant to proceedings instituted under
Resolution of Intention No. 154 of the legislative oody of
said city, ponds in the sum of $22,758.46 are about to be
issued as contemplated in said proceedings;
AND, WHEREAS, this Council deems that the public
interest, convenience and necessity of said city require
that said ponds when issued shall oe held by said city;
AND, WHEREAS, under the laws applicable to said
proceedings, it is permissible forthis Council to cause to
be advanced from the General Funds of said city to the
Cypress and other streets opening Tand, hs contemplated
under said proceedings, the full amount of said oonds so
to be issued, bnd to sake said bonds in lieu thereof
when issued;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council, formerly Board
of Trustees,of the City of E1 Segundo, California, does
resolve, declare and determine as follows;
SECTION 1. That the public interest and
necessity of the City of El Segundo, Califomis, require

and the City Council of said city does hereby order the
transfer from the General Fund of said city to the Cypress
and other streets opening land, as contemplated under the
proceedings instituted under Resolution of Intention No.
154 of the legislative oody of said city, for the uses
and purposes for which said fund was created and as
contemplated in said proceedings.
SECTION 2. That when and as the bonds under
said proceedings are issued, the same shall oe delivered
to said city in consideration of the transfer herein made.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause the
same to be entered in the Book of Resolutions of said City
of E1 Segundo, and shall make a minute of the adoption
thereof in the records of the City Council of said city,
in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed
and a dopted.

whole number of members of the City Council of the said
city is five; that the roregoing resolution, oeing
Resolution No. 176, was passed and adopted by the said
City Council, approved and signed by the Mayor of said
city, and attested by the City Clerk of said city, all
at a regular meeting of the said council held on the 18th
day of November, 1927, and that the same was so passed
and adopted by the following vote:
