RESOLUTION NO. 148.
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA,
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR TWO CERTAIN
MOTOR CYCLES TO BE FURNISHED SAID CITY,
TO RICH BUDELIER.
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of
El Segundo, California, has heretofore in the manner
provided by law, duly and regularly advertised for bids
for two motor cycles to be furnished the said City of
E1 Segundo;
AND, WHEREAS, the time for opening and con-
sidering all of said bids has arrived, and said Board has
publicly opened, examined and declared all bids received
and has reached its decision in said matter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1. That the bid of Rich Budelier, dated
September 18, 1926, for furnishing the City of E1 Segundo,
California, with, -
2 Harley Davidson 1927 Police Yodel
Motor Cycles, with the present equip-
ment on the old motor cycles changed
over, excepting Speedometer and ammeter,
and egaiping each of said machines with
Warner Police Special Speedometers and
2 ammeters at prices as follows, to -wit:
2 Motors ............................ $700.00
2 Warner Police Special Speedometers, 80.00
2 Ammeters ........................00 10.00
Total
Less an allowance of $290.00 for
the two used 1925 Harley Davidson
Motor Cycles now owned and oper-
ated by the City of E1 Segundo
which are hereby awarded to said Rich
Budelier at his bid price therefor,
to -wit: 290.00

shall be and the same is hereby accepted, which said
bid to furnish said two new motors and equipment and to

purchase said tva old motors as specified, is now
on file in the office of the City Clerk of said city
and by this reference expressly incorporated herein
and made a part herepf.

Delivery is to be made at ones F.O.B. E1
SECTION 2. That all bids received for said
equipment are hereby rejected with the exception of
the bid of said Rich Budelier to furnish said two new
motor cycles and equipment and to purchase said two old
motor cycles, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized
and instructed to return the checks of all unsuccessful
bidders. Said Clerk is further authorized and instructed
upon delivery of said new motor cycles, equipped as
hereinabove and in said bid specified, to deliver said
two old motor cycles to said Rich Budelier upon receiving
credit on account of the purchase pries of said two new
motor cycles in the sun of $290.00 as contemplated here-
inabove and in said bid.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall prepare
copies of this resolution after the passage and adoption
thereof, and shall affix to such copies at the end there-
of, after the Clerk's Certificate, a form for the approval
and acceptance of the award above made, both on the part
of the successful bidder and on the part of the said
City, and such copies of this resolution, so approved and
aooepted by the successful bidder and by and on behalf
of said City, shall constitute the contract for furnishing
to said City the two motor cycles,bid upon, pursuant to
the award hereinabove made; and the President of the
Board of Trustees of said City is hereby authorized on
behalf of said City to affix the approval and acceptance
of said City to such contract, and said City Clerk is

hereby authorized and instructed to attest the same
on behalf of said City, and to affix the City Seal
thereto.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall farther
certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution;
shall cause the original of the same to be entered in
the Book of Resolutions of the said City of E1 Segundo,
and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption
thereof in the minutes of the proceedings of the Board
of Trustees of said City of the meeting at which the
same is passed and adopted.

October, A. D., 1926.

whole number of members of the Board of Trustees of the
said city is five; that the foregoing resolution
being Resolution No. 148, was passed and adopted ty the
said Board of Trustees, approved and signed by the
President of said Board, and attested by the City Clerk
of said City, all at a regular meeting of the said Board
held on the let day of October, 192:6, and that the same
was so passed and adopted by the following vote:

The undersigned, the successful bidder referred
to in the foregoing resolution of award, hereby accepts
and approves the award made to the undersigned in said
resolution, and does hereby agree to furnish the two
motor cycles covered by said award in a first class
condition, as contemplated in said award, and at the
price specified therein.

In consideration of the furnishing of the
two motor cycles by Rich Budelier, to the City of E1
Segundo, California, as contemplated under th4 award
made to said bidder in the foregoing resolution, the
City of E1 Segundo agrees to pay said bidder for such
two motor cycles the price specified in said resolution
of award, at the time contemplated therein, and in said
bidder's proposed therefor on file.
