A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THE
INTENTTION OF SAID BOARD TO 07MER THE IMPROVEMENT
OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF VALLEY AVENUE; A CER-
TAIN PORTION OF PINE AVENUE; AND A CERTAIN
PORTION OF HOLLY nVENUE, 111ITHIN SAID CITY, DE-
CLARING THE 1 ORK OR IMPROVEMENT TO BE OF MORE
THAN LOCAL OR ORDINARY PUBLIC BENEFIT; THAT THE
COST OF SAID WORK OR IMPROVEMENT SHALL BE ASSESSED
UPON A DISTRICT, AND DETER INING THAT BONDS SHALL
BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT TIE COST THEREOF.
The Board of Trustees of the City of El Segundo,
California, do resolve, declare and determine as follows:
SECTION 1. That the public interest and con-
venienoe require, and that it is the intention of the
Board of Trustees of the City of E1 Segundo, California,
to order the following work to oe done and improvement
to be made within the said city, to -wit:
That Valley Avenue, within the said city,
between the southerly curb line otf Pine Avenue and the
southerly line of Holly Avenue be improved by grading
full width to the established grade, and by constructing
thereon cement curbs and four (4) foot cement sidewalks
along both sides thereof, all in accordance with Plan and
Profile No. P26722, heretofore adopted by the said Board
of Trustees of said oity, End on file in the office of
the City Engineer of said city, and in accordance with
Specifications No. 7 for the construction of cement curbs
within the said city, and Specifications No. 8 for the
construction of cement sidewalks within the said city,
all of said Specifications having been heretofore adopted

by said Board of Trustees, and being now on file in
the office of the City Clerk of said city.
Also that Pine Avenue within the said city, be-
tween the westerly curb line of Loma Vista Street and
the easterly line of Valley Avenue, be improved by grad-
ing that portion of Pine Avenue between the southerly
line and the southerly curb line thereof, and by con-
structing thereon cement curbs and four (4) foot cement
sidewalks, all in accordance with Plan and Profile No.
P26723, heretofore adopted by the said Board of Trustees
of said city, and on file in the office of the City
Engineer of said city, and in accordmmee with Specifica-
tions No. 7 for the construction of cement curbs within
the said city, and Specifications No. 8 for the construc-
tion of cement sidewalks within the said city, all of
said Specifications having been heretofore adopted by
said Board of Trustees, and being now on file in the
office of the City Clerk of said city.
Also that Holly Avenue, within the said city,
between the westerly curb line of Loma Vista Street and
the easterly line of Valley Avenue, be improved by
grading that portion of Holly Avenue between the northerly
line and the northerly curb line thereof, and by con-
structing thereon cement curbs and four (4) foot cement
sidewalks, all in accordance with Plan and Profile No.
P26724, heretofore adopted by the said Board of Trustees
of said city, and on file in the office of the City
Engineer of said city, and in accordance with Specifica-
tions No. 7 for the construction of cement curbs within
the said city, and Specifications No. 8 for the construc-
tion of cement sidewalks within the said city, all of
said Specifications having oeen heretofore adopted by

said Board of Trustees, and being now on file in the
office of the City Clerk of said city.
That each and all of the said Plans, Profiles,
Cross - sections and Specifications hereinabove mentioned,
are hereby expressly referred to for a more particular
description of said work or improvement, and are hereby
by this reference expressly incorporated herein and made
a part hereof.
That all of the said work or improvement herein -
above mentioned, shall be done in the manner, xt the
places and to the extent shown on the hereinbefore mentioned
plans.
That the grades to which the said work shall be
done and the said improvement made, as provided in this
resolution of intention, are those shown on the plans and
profiles therefor, to -wit: on said Plans and Profiles
Nos. P26722, P26723 and P26724, to which said plans re-
ference is hereby expressly made for the description of
such grades. The elevations of said grades are in feet
and above the City Datum Plane.
SECTION 2. That the contemplated work or im-
provement hereinbefore mentioned is in the opinion of the
said Board of Trustees of more than local or ordinary
public benefit, and the expenses of the said work or
improvement are made chargeable upon the district herein-
after described, and said Board of Trustees hereby declares
said district to be the district benefited by the said work
or improvement and to be assessed to pay the costs and
expenses thereof. The said district is described as
follows, tQ -wit: All that real property in the said city
of E1 Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
included within the exterior boundary line of the said
district as the same is shown upon the "Map of District
to be assessed for the improvement of Velley Avenue; end

Portions of Holly Avenue; and Pine Avenue,, City of
E1 Segundo," designated as Map No. M26729" indicating
the exterior boundary line of such district, which said
map, duly and regularly approved by the said Board of
Trustees is on file in the office of the City Engineer
of the said city and is hereby expressly referred to and
by this reference made a part hereof; excepting therefrom
all public streets, roads, alleys, avenues, places and
highways. Reference is hereby expressly made to the said
map for the particular description of the said district.
SECTION 3. Notice is hereby given that serial
bonds to represent unpaid assessments and bear interest
at the rate of seven per cent per annum will be issued
hereunder in the manner provided by the "Improvement Bond
Act of 1915 ", the last installment of which bonds shall
mature nine years from the second day of July next
succeeding ten months from their date.
SECTION 4. That the prooeedings for the afore-
said improvement, except as herein otherwise noted, shall
be had and taken under that certain act of the Legislature,
of the State of California, approved April 7, 1911, common-
ly referred to, designated and known as the "Improvement
Act of 1911" and under all acts amendatory thereof.
SECTION 5. That the Street Superintendent shall
cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of the
said contemplated work or improvement and on all streets,
alleys and highways within the district above described,
notices of the passage of this resolution of intention, in the
time, manner and form required by law.
SECTION 6. Notice is hereby given that on Friday,
the 10th day of September , A. D., 1926, at the hour of
7:30 o'clock P. M. of said day, in the Council Chamber
of said Board of Trustees of said city, rst the City Hall

in said City of E1 Segundo, California, any and all
persons having any objections to the proposed work or
improvement may appear before said Board of Trustees
and show cause why said improvement should not be
carried out in accordance with this resolution.
SECTION 7. That the City Engineer of said city
is hereby directed to make a diagram of the property
affected or benefited by the proposed work or improvement
as described in this resolution of intention, and to be
assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof. Such
diagram shall show each separate lot, piece or parcel
of land, the iimensions of each of said lots, pieces or
parcels of lend and the relative location of the same to
the vo rk proposed to be done, all within the limits of
the said assessment district.
SECTION 8. That the City Clerk shall oertify
to the passage and adoption of this resolution of int m -
tion, and heshall cause the same to oe published twice
in the E1 Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper printed,
published and circulated within the said City of E1 Segundo,
California, and which is hereby designated for that purpose;
but said Board of Trustees does not deem it advisable to
direct the Clerk of said City to mail copies of said notice
to the owners or reputed owners whose names and addresses
are known to him.
Passed, approved and adopted this 6th day of
August, A. D., 1926.

whole number of members of the Board of Trustees of the
said city is five; that the foregoing resolution of
intention, being Resolution of Intention No. 144 , was
passed and adopted by the said Board of Trustees, approved
and signed by the President of said Board, and attested
by the City Clerk of said city, all at a regular meeting
of the said Board held on the 6th day of August, 19260
and that the same was so passed and adopted by the
following vote:
AYES: TRUSTEES Cannon, Gerow, Kriammel, Love and Bonder.
