A RESOLUTION OF THA BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING
THE IMPROVEMENT OF CERTAIN PUBLIC STREETS,
AVENUES AND ALLEYS WITHIN THAT CERTAIN LATERAL
SEWERAGE DISTRICT IN SAID CITY, DESIGNATED AND
KNOWN AS LATERAL SEWERAGE DISTRICT NO. 29 BY
THE INSTALLATION IN SUCH STREETS, AVENUES AND
ALLEYS NAMED IN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 134,
OF A LATERAL SEWERAGE SYSTEM AND APPURTENANCES;
DECLARING THE WORK OR IMPROVEMENT TO BE OF MORE
THAN LOCAL OR ORDINARY PUBLIC BENEPIT; THAT
THE COST OF SAID WORK OR IMPROVEMENT SHALL BE
ASSESSED UPON A DISTRICT AND DETERMINING THAT
BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT TIE COST
THERE OF.
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of
E1 Segundo, California, has heretofore duly passed and adopted
its Resolution of Intention No. 134, declaring the intention
of the said Board to order the work hereinafter referred to
to be done;
AND, WHEREAS, notice of the passage of said re-
solution and the matters therein contained, and of the said
proposed improvement, has been duly given and posted as
required by law;
AND, WHEREAS, all protests or objections against the
said work or improvement or against the extent of the district
proposed to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof,
or against the proposed grade to which the said work shall be
constructed, have been overruled and denied;
AND, WHEREAS, said Board of Trustees has now
acquired jurisdiction to order the said work or improvement
to be made;

NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Trustees of the City
of E1 Segundo, California, do resolve, declare and determine
as follows:
SECTION 1. That the street work or improvement
mentioned and described in Resolution of Intention No. 134
of the Board of Trustees of the City of E1 Segundo, Califor-
nia, passed and adopted on the 23d day of April, A. D., 1926,
is required by the public interest and convenience; and the
said Board of Trustees of the City of El Segundo, California,
hereby orders to be done, the said ncrk or improvement of
certain public streets, avenues and alleys within that
certain lateral sewerage district in said city, designated
and known as Lateral Sewerage District No. 2, by the installa-
tion in such streets, avenues and alleys named in said Resolu-
tion of Intention No. 134, of a lateral sewerage system and
appurtenances; within the said city; all as the same is
contemplated, set forth and fully described in said Resolution
of Intention No. 134, which is on file in the office of the
City Clerk of said city of E1 Segundo, and which is hereby
referred to for a description of said work and hereby by
this reference made a part hereof for the purpose of said
description.
SECTION 2. That the contemplated work or improve-
ment hereinbefore mentioned is, in the opinion of said Board
of Trustees of more than local or ordinary public benefit,
and the expenses of said work or improvement are made
chargeable upon the district herein described, and said
Board of Trustees hereby declares said district to be the
district benefited by the said work or improvement and to
be assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof. The
said district is described as follows, to -wit:
All of that real property in the City of E1 Segundo,
County of Los Angeles, State of Jalifornia, included within

commonly known, designated and referred to as the
"Improvement Act of 1911 ", and under all acts amendatory
thereof.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk of said city is hereby
directed to post conspicuously for five days on or near
the Council Chamber door of the Board of Trustees, in the
manner and form required by law, a notice with the speci-
fioatione inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing said
work.
Said City Clerk is hereby further directed to
publish twice in the E1 Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper
printed, published and circulated in said City of E1 Segundo,
:alifo mia, and hereby designated for the purpose of said
publication, in the manner and form required by law, a notice
of said work inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing said
work and referring to the specifications posted or on file.
Said notice shall require that each proposal or bid be ac-
companied by either a certified check or a bond as prescribed
by law, and for an amount not less than ten per cent (10lo)
of the aggregate of the proposal or bid, payable to the said
City of E1 Segundo, California.
SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the
same in the Book of Resolutions of said City of E1 Segundo,
and shall make a minute of the adoption thereof in the re-
cords of the Board of Trustees of said city in the minutes
of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.

of E1 Segundo, California, do hereby certify that the whole
number of members of the Board of Trustees of the said
city is five; that the foregoing resolution, being
Resolution No. 140 , was passed and adopted by the said
Board of Trustees, approved and signed by the President
of said Board, and attested by the City Clerk of said city,
all at a regular meeting of the said Board held on the
21st day of May , 1926, and that the same was
so passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: TRUSTEES Cannon, Gerow, Krimmel, Love and Binder.
NOES: TRUSTEES None.
ABSENT: TRUSTEES None. .
