A RESOLUTION OF 'PHE BOARD OF TRU3T3,FS OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THE
INTENTION OF SAID BOARD TO ORDER THE IMPROVEMENT
OF UERTAIN PUBLIC STREETS, AVENUES AND ALLEYS
WITHIN TdAT CERTAIN LATERAL SEWERAGE DIST3ICT IN
SAID UITY, DESIGNATED AND KNOWN AS LATERAL SEWER-
AGE DISTRICT NO. 2, BY THE, INSTALLATION IN SUCH
ST:'EETS, AVENUES AND ALLEYS NAMED IN SAID RESOLU-
TION, OF A LATERAL SEWERAGE SYSTEM AND APPURTENAN-
CES; DECLARING THE WCRX OR IMPROVEMENT TO BE OF
MORE THAN LOCAL OR ORDINARY PUBLIC BENEFIT; THAT
THE COST OF SAID 'o5Q?K OR IMPROVEMENT SHALL BE
ASSESSED UPON A DISTRICT AND DETERMINING THAT BONDS
SHALL BE ISSUED 20 REPRESENT 2HE COST 'THEREOF.
The Board of 'Trustees of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, do resolve, declare and determine as follows:
SECTION 1. That the public interest and oonvenienoe
require, and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees
of the City of n:l Segundo, California, to order the following
work to oe done and improvement to oe made within the said
City, Go-wit-
That a vitrified clay pipe sanitary sewer system,
said pipe varying in size from six (6) inches in diameter to
ten (10) inches in diameter, together with appurtenances con-
sisting in part of manholes, flush- tanks, cast iron frames and
covers, wye branches, tee branches and house connections, and
including all labor and materials necessary in order to con-
struct and complete the same, be constructed or installed in,
over and along certain portions of the following public streets,
avenues and alleys in the City of E1 Segundo, California, de-
scribed in a general way as follows, to -wit:

A portion of Collingwood Street lying between a
point 134.03 feet west of the west line of Hillorest Avenue
and a point 113088 feet west of the west line of Sheldon
Street; a portion of walnut Avenue lying between a point
134.03 feet west of the west line of Hillorest Avenue and
the west line of the J. H. Fisher Subdivision; a portion of
Sycamore Avenue lying between a point 134.03 feet west of
the west line of Hillcrest Avenue and Main Street; a portion
of Maple Avenue lying between a point 134.03 feet west of
the west line of Hillorest Avenue and the west line of the
J. H. Fisher Subdivision; x portion of Oak Avenue lying
westerly from Main Street; a portion of Palm Avenue lying
between a point 310 feet westerly of the west line of Hill-
crest Avenue and the westerly line of the J. H. Fisher Sub-
division; a portion of Mariposa Avenue lying between a point
500 feet westerly of the west line of Hillorest Avenue and
the westerly line of the J. H. Fisher Subdivision; a portion
of Pine Avenue lying between a point 485 feet westerly of
the west line of Hillorest Avenue and a point 110.12 feet
easterly of the easterly line of Maryland Street; a portion
of Holly Avenue lying between a point 145 feet westerly of
the westerly line of valley Avenue and that first public
alley easterly of and parallel to Loma Vista Street, also
between the first public alley lying westerly of and parallel
to Concord Street and a point 110.12 feet easterly of the
easterly line of Maryland Street; a portion of Grand Avenue
lying between Concord Street and Main Street and also between
Standard Street and Lomita Street; a portion of Franklin
Avenue lying between that first public alley westerly of amd
parallel to Eucalyptus Drive and that first public alley
lying easterly of and parallel to Lomita Street; a portion
of El Segundo Avenue lying between Standard Street and that
first public alley easterly of and parallel to Sierra Street;
a portion of Hillorest Avenue lying between a point 75 feet

northerly of the northerly line of Holly Avenue and
oollingwood Street; a portion of Valley Avenue lying
between Holly Avenue and Pine Avenue; a portion of Bonita
Vista Avenue lying between Mariposa Avenue and Collingwood
Street; a portion of Loma Vista Street lying between Holly
Avenue and Mariposa Avenue; a portion of Bayonne Street
lying between Palm Avenue and Maple Avenue; a portion of
Whiting Street lying between a point 200 feet northerly of
the northerly line of Pine Avenue and Palm Avenue; a portion
of Virginia Street lying between a point 100 feet northerly
of the northerly line of Holly Avenue and Collingwood Street;
a portion of Concord Street lying between Grand Avenue and
Mariposa Avenue; a portion of Richmond Street lying between
Grand Avenue and Mariposa Avenue; a portion of that first
public alley lying westerly of and parallel to Main Street
lying between Grand Avenue and Pine Avenue; a portion of
Main Street lying between Pine Avenue and Collingwood Street;
a portion of that first public alley lying easterly of and
parallel to Main Street lying between a point 73 feet north-
erly of the northerly line of Grand Avenue and Mariposa Avenue;
a portion of Standard Street lying oetweem Grand Avenue and
Palm Avenue; a portion of Eucalyptus Drive lying between E1
Segundo Avenue and Collingwood Street; a portion of Arena
Street lying between E1 Segundo Avenue and Palm Avenue; a
portion of Sheldon Street lying between El Segundo Avenue and
a point 165 feet southerly of the southerly line of Collingwood
Street; a portion of Penn Street lying oetween E1 Segundo
Avenue and Holly Avenue, also between Pine Avenue and Palm
Avenue, also between Maple Avenue and walnut Avenue; a portion
of Sierra Street lying oetween E1 Segundo Avenue end Pine
Avenue; a portion of Sierra Place lying between, Pine Avenue
and Sierra Street; a portion of Lomita Street lying between
E1 Segundo Avenue and the Pacific Electric Railway Right of way;

a portion of Maryland Street lying between a point 214.37
feet southerly of the southerly line of Holly Avenue and the
Pacific Electric Railway Right of Way; also .a portion of that
first public alley south of Grand Avenue lying between Euca-
lyptus Drive and Arena Street, as all of said public streets,
avenues and alleys are shoxn upon E1 Segundo Sheet No. 1, re-
corded in Book 18, Page 69 of Maps; E1 Segundo Sheet No. 2,
recur ded in Book 18, Page 145 of Maps; E1 Segundo Sheet No. 3,
recorded in Book 20, Pages 22 and 23 of Maps; E1 Segundo Sheet
No. 4, recorded in Book 20, Page 24 of Maps; E1 Segundo Sheet
No. 6, recorded in Book 20, Page 167 of Maps; E1 Segundo Sheet
No. 7, recorded in Book 22, Pages 54 and b5 of Maps; Tract
1685, recorded in Book 21,, Page 98 of Maps; all of which are
records of Los Angeles County, California, and recorded and
on file in the office of the County Recorder of said County.
The above descriptions are not exact but general
only, end reference is hereby expressly made to Map No. M26000;
Profiles No. 526001 to S26103 both inclusive, and Details Num-
bers S2411299 S241130 and S251150 heretofore adopted by the
said Board of ^rustees of the City of E1 Segundo, California,
and on -iile in the office of the City Engineer of said city,
and to Specifications No. 16 for the Construction of Lateral
Sewers within the City of E1 Segundo, California, said Speci-
fications having been heretofore adopted by the Board of Trus-
tees of said City and now on file in the office of the City
Clerk of said city; for a complete and exact description of
the work to oe done.
That each and all of said maps, plans, profilea, de-
tails and specifications hereinabove mentioned are hereby, by
this reference, expressly incorporated herein, and made a
part hereof.
That all of said work or improvement hereinabove
mentioned shall oe done in the manner, at the places, and to
the extent shown on the hereinbefore mentioned maps, plans,
profiles, details and specifications.
The grades to which the said work shall be done and
the said improvement made, as provided in this Resolution of
Intention, are shoval upon said Profiles Nos. 526001 to S26103
both inclusive, to which said profiles reference is hereby
made for the description of such grades. The elevations of
said grades,are in feet and above the Datum Plane of the City
of E1 Segundo, California.
SECTION 2. That the contemplated work or improvement
hereinbefore mentioned is, in the opinion of said Board of Trus-
tees of more than local or ordinary public benefit, sad the ex-
penses of said work or improvement are made chargeable upon the
district herein described, and said Board of Trustees hereby
declares said district to be the district oenefited by the said
work or improvement and to oe assessed to pay the costs and ex-
penses thereof. The said district is described as follows, towits
All of that real property in the City of E1 Segundo,,
County of Los Angeles, State of California, included within the
exterior ooundary line of the said district as the same is shown
upon the "Map of District to oe assessed for the installation of
a lateral Sewer System in Lateral Sewerage District No. 2, City
of El Segundo, California ", designated as M260414, indicating the
exterior boundary line of said district, which said map of said
district, duly and regularly approved by the said Board of Trus-
tees, is on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City,
and is hereby expressly referred to and by this reference made
a part hereof; excepting therefrom, all public streets, roads,
alleys, avenues, places and highways. Reference is hereby ex-
pressly made to the said Map of said district, for the particular
description of the said district.
SECTION 3. That serial bonds to represent unpaid
assessments and near interest at the rate of seven per cent per
annum will be issued hereunder in the manner provided by the
"Improvement Bond Act of 1915 "9 the last installment of which
bonds shall mature nine years from the second day of July next
succeeding ten months from their date.
SECTION 4. That the proceedings for the aforesaid

improvement, except as herein otherwise noted, shall be had
and taken under that certain act of the Legislature of the
State of California, approved April 7, 1911, commonly referred
to, designated and known t6s the "Improvement Act of 1911 ", and
under all acts amendatory thereof.
SECTION 5. That the Street Superintendent shall
cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of the said
contemplated work or improvement and on all streets, avenues,
alloys and highways within the district above described, notices
of the passage of this Resolution of Intention, in the manner
and form required by law.
SECTION 6. That on Friday, the 21st day of May, 19260
at the hour of 7;15 o'clock P. M. of said day, in the Council
Chamber of said Board of Trustees of said oity, at the City Hall
in said City of E1 Segundo, California, any and all persons
having any objections to the proposed work or improvement may
appear before said Board of Trustees and show cause why said
Improvement should not be carried out in accordance with this
resolution.
SECTION 7. That the City Engineer of said city is
hereby oireeted to make a diagram of the property affected or
benefited by the proposed work or improvement as described in
this resolution of intention, and to be assessed to pay the
costs and expenses thereof. Such diagram shall show each separ-
ate lot, piece or parcel of land, the dimensions of each of
said lots, pieces or parcels of land and the relative location
of the same to the work proposed to oe done, all within the
limits of the said assessment district.
SECTION 8. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this resolution of intention, and he shall
cause the same to be published twice in the E1 Segundo Herald, a
weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated within the said City of E1 Segundo, California, and
which is hereby designated for that purpose; but said Board of
Trustees does not aeem it advisable to direct the Clerk of said
city to mail copies of said notice to the owners or reputed
owners whose names and addresses are known to him.
