RESOMUT ION NO. 131 .
A RESOIATION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO* CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR THE ISSU-
ANCE OF STREET 1UR0VE1W0T BONDS FOR THE WORK OR
IMPROVhUMT OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF HILLCRBST AVENUZ
AND OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF PINE AVENUE WITHIN THE
SAIL CITY, AS PROVIDED FOR IN RESOWTION OF INTENTION
NO. 103 OF THE SAID BOARD, PASSED AND ADOPTED ON THE
21ST DAY OF AUGUST, A. D., 1925, PRESCRIBING THE
DENOMINATIONS OF SUCH BONDS AND OF THE INTEREST
COUPONS ATTACHED THERETO; AND DIRECTING DELIVERY
THEREOF.
IMBREAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of El
Segundo, California, did on the 21st day of August, A. D.,
1925, pass its Resolution of Intention No. 103 for the
improvement of a certain portion of Hillorest Avenue and of
a certain portion of Pine Avenue, within the said city, under
and pursuant to the provisions of the "Improvement Aot of
1911 "9 and the amendments thereto, reference to which said
resolution of intention (which is now on file in the office
of the City Clerk of said city and open to publics Inspection)
is hereby expressly made for further particulars;
AND, WHERE S, thereafter all necessary resolutions,
notices and other proceedings of said board were duly and
regularly adopted and taken in said matter; the contract
for said work or improvement was duly awarded and there-
after duly completed to the satisfaction of the Superin-
tendent of Streets of said city and of this board; whereupon
a warrant, diagram and assessment were made, recorded and
delivered to the contractor in time, form and manner; as
required by said act; and the contractor having made due
return thereon, and the same having been duly recorded;

AND, WHEREAS, on the 5th day of March, 1926,
the Street Superintendent of said city made and filed with
the Clerk of this board a complete list of all the assess-
ments unpaid thereunder, showing the respective assessment
or diagram numbers of such unpaid assessments; the lots
or parcels of land described in each of such respective
assessmentst and the respective amounts of each such unpaid
assessment; said list also showing the total or aggregate
amount of such unpaid assessments to be the sum of Two
Thousard Five Hundred Thirty -Five and 61/100 Dollars
($2,535.61), whereupon said Clerk gave notice of the filing
of said list, and fixed in said notice Friday, the 9th day
April, 1926, at the hour of 7 :45 P. M. of said day as the
time when interested persons might appear before the Board
of Trustees in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said
city, and show cause why bonds should not be issued upon
the security of the unpaid assessments shown on said list,
said time being at a regular meeting of said board held
on said date, and no protests or objections having been
made in the said matter, and there therefore being no such
protests or objections to pass upon; am& no assessments
having been paid after the filing of said unpaid assessment
list, and prior to the said hearing on the 9th day of April,
1926; and the issuance of bonds in the said matter having
been taken under advisement until the hour of 7 :30 o'clock
P. M. on Friday, the 16th day of April, 1926;
AND, WHMEAS, said hour of 7:30 o'clock P. M.
of said Friday, the 16th day of April, A. D., 1926 has now
arrived:
HOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby determined that the
assessments now remaining unpaid under the said proceedings,
and the aggregate amount of the same are as follows : -

AND, WHEREAS, the total or aggregate amount of
said assessments so unpaid is the sum of Two Thousand Five
Hundred Thirty -Five and 61100 Dollars ($2,535.61), and it
is so found t0 be by this Board,;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing
premises, the Board of Trustees of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, do further resolve, declare, determine and order
as follows:
SECTION 1. That bonds shall be issued upon the
security of the said unpaid assessments to aaid amount of
Two Thousand Five Hundred Thirty -Five axd 61/100 Dollars
02,535.61), in accordance with the provisions of said
"Improvement got of 1911 ", and amendments thereto, and of
that certain act of the Legislature of the State of Cali-
fornia, commonly known, designated and referred to as the
"Improvement Bond Act of 1915 ", and amendments thereto,
and under and pursuant to the resolutions, notices and pro -
ceedings of this board, duly adopted and taken in said
matter; that said bonds shall be called "Improvement Bonds ",
shall be ten (10) in number; shall be dated the 16th day
of April, A. D., 1926, being the date of the adoption of

this resolution, and shall bear interest at the rate of
seven per cent per annum from the 5th day of March, 1926,
being the date of the filing with the City Clerk of the
Street Superintendent's List of Unpaid Assessments relat-
ing to the within matter, and that the denominations of
said bonds and the interest coupons required to be attached
thereto, with their respective numbers and dates of
maturity, are as follows:

SECTION 2. That said bonds shall be issued in
series, and the assessments remaining unpaid at the date
hereof, as hereinabove determined by said Board of Trustees

(City Council) of said city, together with interest
thereon, shall remain and constitute a trust fund for the
redemption and payment of said bonds and of the interest
which may be due thereon, which unpaid assessments shall be
payable in annual series corresponding in number to the
number of series of bonds, and such proportion of each
assessment coming due in any year, together with the annual
interest thereon, shall in turn be payable in installments
as the general municipal taxes of the said City of E1
Segundo on real property are payable, and shall become
delinquent at the same times and in the same proportionate
amounts, and bear the same proportionate penalties after
delinquency.
That said bonds shall be signed by the Treasurer
of said City of E1 Segondo, and oountersigned by the City
Clerk thereof, who shall affix thereto the official seal
of said city; that the interest coupons affixed thereto
shall be signed by the Treasurer of said city, or bear his
engraved or lithographed signature; and that said bonds
shall be substantially in the form set forth in said
"Improvement Bond Act of 1915 ".
The interest coupons attached to each of said
bonds and evidencing the interest to accrue thereon shall
be numbered consecutively, and shall be substantially in
the following form, to -wit:

SECITION 3. That the City Clerk of said city
be and he is hereby authorized and directed to deliver
forthwith the bonds hereinbefore enumerated to Quirk Bros.,
of Los Angeles, Californie; assignee of the contractor,
Youngblood Bros. Construction Co., a Co- partnership, of
Los Angeles, California, in full satisfaction of the
balance due upon their assessment and warrant.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk of said city
shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolu-
tion; shall cause the same to be entered in the Book of
Resolutions of said city, and shall make a minute of the
adoption thereof in the reoorde of the Board of Trustees
of said city in the minutes of the meeting at which the
same is passed and adopted.
Passed, approved and adopted this 16th day of
April, A. D., 1926.

whole number of members of the Board of Trustees of the
said city is five; that the foregoing resolution, being
Resolution No. 131 , was passed and adopted by the said
Board of Trustees, approved and signed by the President
of said board, and attested by the City Clerk of said city,
all at a regular meeting of the said board held on the
16th day of April, 1926, and that the same was so passed
and adopted by the following vote:
