RESOLUTION NO. 128
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA,
CALLING AND GIv ING NOTICE OF TIE HOIDING
OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL EI4.CPION TO BE
HELD IN SAID CITY ON MOVD.iY, THE 12TH DAY
OF APRIL, 1926, FOR THE ELECTION OF
CERTAIN MUNICIPAL OFFICERS OF SAID CITY.
BE IT RESOLVED AND DETERUllaD by the Board of
Trustees of the City of El Segundo, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. That there shall be held in the City
of El Segundo, County of Loa Angeles. State of California,
on Monday, the 12th day of April, 1926, a general municipal
election of the qualified electors of said city for the
purpose of electing two members of the Board of Trustees
of the said city for the full term of four years.
SECTION 2. That the ballots to be used at said
election shall be, both as to form and matter contained
therein, such as may be required by law to be used thereat,
and the City Clerk of said city is hereby instructed, dir-
ected and authorized to give notice of said election in the
time, form and manner as required by law; and said City
Clerk is hereby further instructed, directed and author-
ized to procure all supplies that may be necessary to pro-
perly and lawfully conduct said general municipal election.
SECTION 3. That for the purpose of holding said
general municipal election there shall be three voting
precincts within the said city, consisting in certain in-
stances of a consolidation of the regular voting precincts
established for holding general state and county elections,
as follows:
Voting Precinct "A" shall be known as such and
shall include all of the territory in the City of El Segundo,
California, within the exterior boundaries of F1 Segundo

City Precinct No. 1, as now established by the Board of
Supervisors of Los Angeles County, California, for state
and county elections, and the said exterior boundaries form-
ing the exterior boundaries of the territory included within
said E1 Segundo City Precinct No. 1, so established by said
Board of Supervisors, shall be and constitute and the same
are hereby designated as the exterior boundaries of said
Voting Precinct "A ".
That the polling place in said Voting Precinct
"A" shall be in the lower right -hand room of the ground
floor of that certain building at No. 306 Main Street in
the City of E1 Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, and the board of election to conduct the said
election in said Voting Precinct "A" shall be and the
same is hereby appointed as follows:
Inspector: Fred M. Daley,
Judge: Forrest H. Lee,
Clerks: Mrs. Kittie Vincent and
Mrs. Norma Stephens.
Consolidated Voting Preoinot "B" shall be known as
such, and shall include all of the territory in the City of
E1 Segundo, California, within the exterior boundaries of
E1 Segundo City Precinct No. 2 and E1 Segundo City Precinct
No. 3 as now established by the Board of Supervisors of Los
Angeles lounty, (lali£ornia, for state and county elections,
and the said exterior boundaries forming the exterior boun-
daries of the territory included within said E1 Segundo City
Precincts Nos. 2 and 3 so established by said Board of
Supervisors, shall be and constitute, and the same are hereby,
designated as the exterior boundaries of said consolidated
Voting Precinct "B ", said E1 Segundo City Precincts Nos. 2
and 3 being hereby consolidated for the purpose of holding

That the polling place in said Consolidated
Voting Precinct "B" shall be At the auditorium of the
E1 Segundo Grammar School located on the north side of
Mariposa Avenue between Richmond Street and Virginia
Street, within the said city, and the board of election
to conduct the said election in said Consolidated Voting
Precinct "B" shall be and the same is hereby appointed
as follows:
Inspector: John R. Mack,
Judge: Claude A. Manson,
Clerks: Mrs. Hattie Bryan and
Mrs. Lily Cairns.
Consolidated Voting Precinct "C" shall be known
as such, and shall include all of the territory in the City
of El Segundo, California, within the exterior boundaries
of El Segundo City Precinct No. 4 and E1 Segundo City
Precinct Bo. 5 as now established by the Board of Super-
visors of Los Angeles County, California, for state and
county elections, and the said exterior boundaries forming
the exterior boundaries of the territory included within
said E1 Segundo City Precincts Nos. 4 and 5 so established
by said Board of Supervisors, shall be and constitute, and
the same are hereby designated as the exterior boundaries
of said Consolidated Voting Precinct "C ", said E1 Segundo
City Precincts Nos. 4 and 5 being hereby consolidated for
the purpose of holding said election.
That the polling place in said Consolidated Voting
Precinct "C" shall be at that certain frame garage building
at No. 636 Whiting Street, within the said city, and the
board of election to conduct the said election in said
Consolidated Voting Precinct "C" shall be and the same is
hereby appointed as follows:

Judge: Mrs. Effie Magee,
Clerks: Mrs. Ida B. Booth and
Mrs. Ethel M. Palmer.
All of the persons hereinabove named are hereby
appointed as such officers respectively, and their com-
pensation is hereby fixed at the sum of Eight Dollars (06.00)
each for said election.
SECTION 4. That the polls for said election
shall be open from six o'clock A. M. to seven o'clock P. M.
of the said day of said election, except as provided in
Section 1164 of the Political Code of the State of California.
SECTION 5. That notice of the time and place of
holding said general municipal election is hereby given, and
that this resolution and the posting and publication there-
of as hereinafter directed, together with such other notices
as may be required to be given by law, shall constitute the
notice of said election.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the
same in the Book of Resolutions of the said City of E1
Segundo; shall make a minute of the passage and adoption
thereof in the records of the meeting of the Board of Trus-
tees of said city at which the same was passed and adopted;
shall cause the same to be published two times consecutively
before the day of said election in the E1 Segundo Herald, a
weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed, published
and circulated in said city, and which is hereby designated
for that purpose; and shall conspicuously post a printed
copy of this resolution for at least one week during the
period preceding the date of such election in three public
places within the said City of E1 Segundo, to -wit: one such
copy on the official bulletin board at the City Hall in said

city; one such copy on the official bulletin board at
the United States Post Office in said city; and one such
copy on the bulletin board near the main entrance of
the Standard Oil Company refinery within the said city.
Passed, approved and adopted this 5th day of
March, A. D., 1926.

of E1 Segundo, California, do hereby certify that the
whole number of members of the Board of Trustees of the
said city is five. that the foregoing resolution, being
Resolution No. 128, was passed and adopted by the said
Board of Trustees, approved and signed by the President
of said Board, and attested by the City Clerk of said
city, all at a regular meeting of the said board held on
the 5th day of March, 1926, and that the same was so
passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: TRUSTEES Anderson, Cannon, Gerow, Love and Binder. ;
NOES: TRUSTEES None.
