The Board of Trustees of the City of E1 Segundo, California, do resolve, declare and determine as follows: SECTION ONE: That the public interest and con- venience of the City of E1 Segundo, California, require the laying out and opening of a certain new public street which for the purpose of reference throughout these pro - oeedings shall be referred to and is hereby designated as Mariposa Avenue, within the said City of U Segundo to a width of Eighty feet (80 ft.) between Arizona Drive and the westerly line of Inglewood and Redondo .toad. That it is the intention of the City of �l Segundo to so lay out and open said street under the provisions of that certain Act of the Legislature of the State of Califor- nia, entitled, "An Act to provide for laying out, opening, extending, widening, straightening or closing -up, in whole or in part,any street, square, lane, alley, court or place within municipalities, and to condemn and acquire any and all land and property necessary or convenient for that purpose ". 1- 6��9 Approved March 6th, 1869, and all acts amendatory thereof or supplementary thereto, to a iridth of Eighty feet (80 ft.) between Arizona Drive and the westerly line of Inglewood and Redondo _toad. It is further the intention oS the said City of 71 Segundo to cause improvement bonds to be issued to represent assessments made to pay the cost and expenses of said laying out and opening of said new public street, t.ariposa Avenue, to a width of Eighty feet (80 ft.) between Arizona Drive and the westerly line of Inglewood and Redondo _toad, in the manner and under the circumstances provided for under that certain act of the Legislature of the State of California, entitled, "An Act providing for the issuance of improvement bonds to represent certain special assessments for public improvements under the 'Street Opening Act of 18891, and providing for the effect and enforcement of such bonds ". Approved May 24th, 1921, and all acts amendatory thereof or supplementary thereto. SECTION 790: That this improvement consists of the laying out and opening of said L:ariposa Avenue to a uniform width of Eighty feet (80 ft) between Arizona Drive , and the westerly line of Inglewood and Redondo Goad within the said City of El 6egundo,California. SECTION THREE: That the land necessary and convenient to be taken for said laying out and opening is situated in the City of E1 Segundo, County of Los Angeles, .state of Califor- nia, and is aescribed as follows, to wit: The Southerly Forty feet (40 ft.) of the Northwest quarter of Section 7, Township 3 mouth, Range 14 .rest, S. SECTION YOUR: That the whole of the expense of the said improvement shall be assessed upon the district to be benefited thereby. The district which is benefited by said improvement and upon wnich the total expense of said improvement .,hall be assessed shall be known and is hereby designated as the dis- triot to be assessed for the laying out and opening of Mariposs avenue, between Arizona Drive and the westerly line of Inglewood and Redondo Road, and the exterior boundaries of the said assessment district are hereby fixed and estab- lished and are described as follows, to wit: 611 of that portion of the City of Fl Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of California, included within the following described boundary line,to wit: Beginning at a point on the Westerly line of and 2440.21 feet Northerly of the Southwesterly Corner of Section 7, Township 3 South, Range 14 .est, S. B. B. & 1%; said Corner being also the Southeasterly Corner of section 12, Township 3 South, Range 15 'west, S. 5. G. & T.T., as shown upon map recorded in Book 22, at pages 106 and 107 of Maps, records of Los Angeles County and on file in the Office of the County Recorder of said Los .�ngeles County; thence Easterly along a straight line 200 feet Southerly of, and parallel to the Northerly lines of the Southwest ,quarter and the Southeast quarter of Section 7, Township 3 South, Range 14 West, S. B. B. & 11., and its Easterly projection into Section 8, Tov,;nship 3 South, Range 14 ":est, S. B. S"CTION 2IVE: That immediately upon the passage of this Resolution the btreet Superintendent shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of the said contemplated improvement, at not more than 300 feet in distance apart, but not less than three (3) in all, notices of the passage of this resolution. Said notices shall be headed "PTOTIOE OF PUBLIC 'y+ORK" in letters of not less than one (1) inch in length, shall be in legible characters, stating the fact of the passage of this Resolution, its date and briefly the improvement proposed and refer to this resolution for further particulars. Street Superintendent shall also cause a notice of similar substance to be published by four (4) successive insertions in The E1 Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated within said City of F.1 Segundo, and which is hereby designated for that purpose.
