A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THE
INTENTION OF SAID BOARD TO ORDER THE IMPROVE-
MENT OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF GRAND AVENUE AND
OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF RICHMOND STREET WITHIN
SAID CITY; DECLARING THE WORK OR IMPROMMENT
TO BE OF MORE THAN LOCAL OR ORDINARY PUBLIC
BENEFIT; THAT THE COST OF SAID WORK OR IMPROVE-
MENT SHALL BE ASSESSED UPON A DISTRICT; AND
DETERMINING THAT BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO
REPRESENT THE COST THEREOF.
The Board of Trustees of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, do resolve, deolare and determine as follows:
SECTION 1. That the publio interest and convenienoe
require, and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees
of the City of E1 Segundo, California, to order the folloadng
work to be done and improvement to be made within the said City,
to -wit:
That Grand Avenue, within the said City, between the
westerly line of Main Street and the easterly ourb line of
Conoord Street, be improved by installing thereon an ornamental
street lighting system, all in s000rdanoe with Plan and Detail
No. ME5923 heretofore adopted by said Board of Trustees of said
City, and being now on file in the offioe of the City Engineer
of said City, and in s000rdanoo with the Specifioations No. 18,
for the installation of an ornamental street lighting system
in the City of E1 Segundo, California, said Specifioations
having been heretofore adopted by the said Board of Trustees
and being now on file in the offioe of the City Clerk of said
City.
Also that Riohmond Street between the southerly line

of Grand Avenue and the northerly curb line of E1 Segundo
Avenue, be improved by the installation of an ornamental
street lighting system, all in accordance with Plan and De-
tail No. M25923, heretofore adopted by said Board of Trustees
of said City, and being now on file in the office of the
City Engineer of said City, aid in accordance with Speoifi-
cations No. 13 for the installation of an ornamental street
lighting system in the City of E1 Segundo, California, said
Specifications having been heretofore adopted by the said
Board of Trustees an& being now on file in the office of the
City Clerk of said City.
SECTION E. That each and all of said Plans aad
Details, and Speoifications, hereinabove mentioned, are hereby
expressly referred to for a more partioular description of
said work or improvement, and are hereby, by this reference,
expressly incorporated herein and made a part hereof.
That all of said work or improvement hereinabove
mentioned shall be done in the manner, at the places, ani to
the extent shown on the hereinbefore mentioned plans.
Reference is hereby made, and attention is hereby
called to the Marbelite Corporation of America, concrete light-
ing standard license agreement, dated September 22nd , 1925
and on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of E1
Segundo, California, and open to public inspection.
SECTION 30 That the contemplated work or improve-
went hereinbefore mentioned is,in the opinion of the said Board
of Trustees, of more than local or ordinary public benefit,
and the expenses of the said York or improvement are made
chargeable upon the district hereinafter described, and said
Board of Trustees hereby declares said district to be the dis-
trict benefited by the said work or improvement and to be
assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof,, The said

district is described as follows: to -wit:
All that real property in the said City of El
Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of Cali lb rnia, included
within the exterior boundary line of the said district, as
the same is shown upon the "Map of District to be Assessed
for the Improvement,of a Portion of Grand Avenue, and Richmond
Street, with Ornamental Street Lighting System, City of E1
Segundo, California ", designated as "Map M2592211, indicating
the exterior boundary line of such district, which said map,
duly and regularly approved by the said Board of Trustees, is
on file in the office of the City Engineer of the said City,
and is hereby expressly referred to and by this refereme made
a part hereof, excepting therefrom all public streets, roads,
alleys, avenues, places and highways, Reference is hereby
expressly made to the said Map for the particular description
of the said district,
SECTION 4. That serial bonds to represent unpaid
assessments and bear interest at the rate of seven per cent
per annum will be issued hereunder in the manner provided by
the "Improvement Bond Act of 1915 "9 the last instalment of
which bonds shall mature nine years from the second day of
July ,next succeeding ten months from their date.
SECTION 5. That the proceedings for the aforesaid
improvement, except as herein otherwise noted, shall be had
and taken under that certain act of the Legislature of the
State of California, approved April 7, 1911„ commonly referred
to, designated and known as the "Improvement Act of 1911 ", and
under all acts amendatory thereof.
SECTION 6. That the Street Superintendent shall
cause to be conspicuously posted, along the line of the said
contemplated work or improvement and on all streets, alleys
and highways within the district above described, notices of
the passage of this resolution of intention, in the time,
form and manner required by law.
SECTION 7. That on Friday , the 23rd day
of October , A. D., 19250 at the hour of 7:30 o'clock
P. M. of said day, in the Council Chamber of said Board of
Trustees of said City, at the City Hall in said City of E1
Segundo, California, any and all persons having any objections
to the proposed work or improvement may appear before said
Board of Trustees and show canes vdiy said improvement should
not be carried out in accordance with this resolution.
SECTIONS., That the City Engineer of said City is
hereby directed to make a diagram of the property affected or
benefited by the proposed work or improvement as described in
this resolution of intention, affi to be assessed to pay the
costs and expenses thereof. Such diagram shall show each
separate lot, piece or parcel of land, the dimensions of each
of said lots, pieces or parcels of land and the relative looa-
tion of the same to the work proposed to be done, all within
the limits of the said assessment district.
SECTION 9. That the City Clerk shall certify to
the passage and adoption of this resolution of intention, and
he shall cause the same to be published twice in the E1 Segundo
Herald, a weekly newspaper, printed, published and circulated
within the said City of El Segundo, Cali lbrnia, and which is
hereby designated for that purpose; but said Board of Trustees
does not deem it advisable to direct the Clerk of said City to
mail copies of said notice to the owners or reputed owners whose
names and addresses are know& to him.

of E1 Segundo, California, do hereby oertify that the whole
number of members of the Board of Trustees of the said City
is five; that the foregoing resolution of intention, being
Resolution of Intention No. 109, was passed and adopted by
the said Board of Trustees, approved and signed by the
President of said Board, and attested by the City Clerk of
said City, all at a regular meeting of the said Board held
on the 25th day of September , 1925, and that the same
was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
