A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING
FOR THE ISSUANCE OF STREET IMPROVEMENT BONDS
FOR THE WORK OR IMPROVEMENT OF A CERTAIN POR-
TION OF BAYONNE STREET AND OF A CERTAIN PORTION
OF BONITA VISTA AVENUE WITHIN THE SAID CITY,
AS PROVIDED FOR IN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO.
85, PASSED AND ADOPTED ON THE 13TH DAY OF
FEBRUARY, A. D., 1925, PRESCRIBING THE DENOMI-
NATIONS OF SUCH BONDS AND OF THE INTEREST
COUPONS ATTACHED THERETO; AND DIRECTING
DELIVERY THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of
E1 Segundo, California, did on the 15th day of February,
A. D., 19259 pass its Resolution of Intention No. 85, for
the improvement of, and the establishment of grade on a
certain portion of Bayonne Street and on a certain portion
of Bonita Vista Avenue, within the said City, under and
pursuant to the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911,
and the amendments thereto, reference to v;kioh said resolu-
tion of intention (which is now on file in the office of
the City Clerk of said City and open to public inspection)
is hereby expressly made for further particulars;
AND, WHEREAS, thereafter all necessary resolutions,
notices and other proceedings of said Board were duly and
regularly adopted and taken in said matter; the contract
for said work or improvement was duly awarded and thereafter
duly completed to the satisfaction of the Superintendent
of Streets of said City and of this Board; whereupon a
warrant, diagram and assessment were made, recorded and
delivered to the contractor in time, form and manner as

required by said act; and the contractor having made due
return thereon, and the same having been duly recorded;
AND, WHEREAS, on the 21st day of July, 1925, the
Street Superintendent of said City made end filed with the
Clerk of this Board a complete list of all the assessments
unpaid thereunder, showing the respective assessment or
diagram numbers of such unpaid assessments; the lots or
parcels of land described in each of such respective assess-
ments, and the respective amounts of each such unpaid
assessment; said list also showing the total or aggregate
amount of such unpaid assessments to be the sum of Two
Thousand One Hundred Sixty -six and 43100 Dollars ($2,166.43)
whereupon said clerk gave notice of the filing of said list,
aid fixed in said notice Friday, the 7th day of August,
1925, at the hour of eight o'clock P. M. of said day as
the time when interested persons might appear before the
Board of Trustees in the Council Jhamber of the City Hall
of said City, and show cause why bonds should not be issued
upon the security of the unpaid assessments shown on said
list, said time being at a regular meeting of said Board
held on said date, and no protests or objections having
been made in the said matter, and there therefore being
no such protests or objections to pass upon; and no
assessments having been paid after the filing of said un-
paid assessment list and prior to the said hearing on the
7th day of August, 1925; and the issuance of bonds in
the said matter having been taken under advisement until
the hour of 7 :30 o'clock P. M. on Friday, the 14th
day of August, A. D., 1925;
AND, WHEREAS, said hour of 7 :30 o'clock P. M.
of said Friday, the 14th day of August, A. D., 1925 has
now arrived;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby determined that the

AND, MEREAS, the total or aggregate amount of
said assessments so unpaid is the sum of Two Thousand One
Hundred Sixty -six and 43100 Dollars (,$2,166.43), and it
is so found to be by this Board;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing
premises, the Board of Trustees of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, do further resolve, declare, determine and
order as follows:
SECTION 1. That bonds shall be issued upon the
security of the said unpaid assessments to said amount of
Two Thousand One Hundred Sixty -six and 43100 Dollars
(02,166.43), in accordance with the provisions of said
Improvement Act of 1911, and amendments thereto, and of
that certain sot of the Legislature of the State of Cali-
fornia, commonly known, designated and referred to as the
Improvement Bond Act of 1915, and amendments thereto, and
under and pursuant to the resolutions, notices and pro -
oeedings of this Board, duly adopted and taken in said matter.
that said bonds shall be called Improvement Bonds, shall be
ten in number; shall be dated the 14th day of August, A. D.,
1925, being the date of the adoption of this resolution;
and shall bear interest at the rate of seven per cent per
annum from the 21st day of July, 1925, being the date of
the filing with the City Clerk of the Street Superintendent's

List of Unpaid Assessments relating to the within matter,
and that the denominations of said bonds and the interest
coupons required to oe attached thereto, with their re-
spective numbers and dates of maturity, are as follows:

SECTION 29 That said bonds shall be issued in
series, and the assessments remaining unpaid at the date
hereof, as hereinabove determined by said Board of Trustees
(City Council) of said City, together with interest thereon,
shall remain and constitute a trust fund for the redemption

anti payment of said bonds and of the interest which may
be due triereon, which unpaid assessments shall be payable
in annual series corresponding in number to the number of
series of bonds, and such proportion of each assessment
coming due in any year, together with -the annual interest
thereon shall in turn be payable in instalments as the
general municipal taxes of the said City of E1 Segundo
on real property are payable, amd shall become delinquent
at the same times and in the same proportionate amounts,
and bear the same proportionate penalties after delinquency.
That said oonds shall be signed by the Treasurer
of said City of E1 Segundo, ant countersigned by the City
Clerk thereof, who shall affix thereto the official seal
of said City; that the interest coupons affixed thereto
shall be signed by the Treasurer of said City, or bear his
engraved or lithographed signature; and that said bonds
shall be substantially in the form set forth in said
Improvement Bond Act of 1916.
The interest coupons attached to each of said
bonds and evidencing the interest to accrue thereon shall
be numbered consecutively, and shall be aubstantially in
the following form, to -wit;

SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of said City be
and he is hereby authorized and directed to deliver forth-
with the bonds hereinbefore enumerated to John C. Dixon,
of Long Beach, California, assignee of the Contractor,

Vido Kovacevich, in full satisfaction of the balance due
upon his assessment and warrant.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk of said City
shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolu-
tion; shall cause the some to be entered in the Book of
Resolutions of said City, and shall make a minute of the
adoption thereof in the records of the Board of Trustees
of said City in the minutes of the meeting at which the
same is passed and adopted.
Passed, approved and adopted this 14th day of
August, A. D., 1925.
