A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEAS OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUND09 CALIFORNIA, AWARDING TIE, CONTRACT
FOR THE IMPROVEWM OF PORTIONS OF VIRGINIA STREET,
WHITING STREET, BONITA VISTA AVENUE, MAPLE AVENUE,
MARIPOSA AVENUE AND PALM AVENUE, WITHIN THE SAID
CITY, AS PROVIDED FOR BY RESOLUTION OF INTENTION
NO. 79, OF THE SAID BOARD OF TRUSTEES.
The Board of Trustees of the City of E1 Segundo, California, do resolve,
declare and determine as followas
That the work of improvement of portions of Virginia Street, Whiting
Street, Bonita Vista Avenue, Staple Avenue, Mariposa Avenue and Palm
Avenue, within the said City, all as the same is contemplated, set forth
and fully described in Resolution of Intention No. 79 of the Board of
Trustees of said City, on file in the office of the City Clerk thereof,
and which is hereby referred to for further particulars, having hereto —
fore been regularly ordered by said Board of Trustees; and advertisement
for bids having been duly had; and said Board of Trustees having in open
public session on the 26th day of December, A. D., 1924, opened, examined
and publicly declared all sealed proposals or bids offered for said work;
and, whereas, on motion duly made, seconded and carried, all of said bids
received for maid work were taken under advisement by said Board until
the hour of llsO0 o'clock A. Me on Saturday, the 27th day of December,
A. D. 1924, and at said time taken under further advisement until the
31st day of Deoember, at 4:40 o'clock P. M. of the said day, said time
being at an adjourned regular meeting of said Board; and whereas, said
last mentioned hour has now arrived, and said Board has duly considered
all of said bids or proposals, the said Board hereby finds that the
lowest regular responsible binder for said work is Vido Kovacevich, of
Long Beach, California, and hereby awards the contract for said work to
said Vido Kovacevich, the lowest regular responsible bidder therefor,
at the prices specified in his proposal on file for said work, to —wit:

Curb, per lineal foot . . . . . . . .40
Sidewalk, per square foot . . . . . 015
Retaining wall, per lineal foot . . . 1.00

The Clerk of said Board of Trustees is hereby directed to
post notice of this award as required by law, and also to publish
such notice of award by two successive insertions in the 31 Segundo
Herald, a weekly newspaper printed, published and circulated in
said City of E1 Segundo, which is hereby designated for said purpose.
Passed, approved and adopted this 31st day of December, A. D.,
1924.

said Board held on the 31st day of December, 1924, and that the
