711ETEAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of El
Segundo, Califo mia, has heretofore duly passed aril adopted its
Resolution of Intention No. 79, declaring the intention of the
said Board to order tie YearY. hereinafter referred to to be done;
AND, IZh'R -..1S, notice of the passage of said resolu-
tion and of the matters therein contained and of the said pro-
posed improvement has been duly given as required by law;

filed against the said work or improvement, or against the ex-
tent of the district proposed to be assessed to pay the costs
and expenses thereof, or against the proposed F,rade to which
the said work shall be constructed, have been overruled air
denied by a vote of four- fifths (4/r) of all of the members of
the Board of Trustees of said city, to wit; by a unanimous
affirmative vote of all of the members of said Board;
AND, H °,R:. said Board of Trustees h«s now . cquired
jurisdiction to order the said work or improvement to be made;
N07, TEN ^O R', the Board of Trustees of the City cf
E.1 Segundo, California, do resolve, declare and determine as
follows;

SECTION 1. That the Street work or improvement
mentioned and described in Resolution of Intention No. 79,
of the Board of Trustees of the City of E1 Segundo, Cali-
fornia, passed and adopted on the 7th day of November, 1924,
is required by the public interest and convenience; and
the said Board of Trustees of the City of E1 Segundo, Cali-
fornia, hereby orders to be done the said work or improvement
upon portions of Virginia Street, ; ^hiting Street, Bonita
Vista Avenue, L',aple „venue, A:ariposa Avenue, and Palm Avenue,
within the saic City; all as the same is contemplated, set
forth aril fully described in said Resolution of Intention
No. 79, which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of
the said City of E1 Segundo, and which is hereby referred to
for a description of said work, and hereby by this reference
made a part hereof for the purposes of said description.
SECTION 2. That the said contemplated work or im-
provement in the opinion of the said Board of Trustees of
said City of E1 Segundo, California, is of more than local
or ordinary public benefit, and said Board of Trustees by
and in the aforesaid Resolution of Intention No. 79 made the
expenses of the said work, or improvement chargeable upon a
district, which said district is shmvn by a plat designated
as "Plat No. 1I24905011, on file in the office of the City
Engineer of the said City of '71 Segundo, to which said plat
reference is hereby made for the colored boundary line, shav-
ing the extent of the territory to be included in the assess-
ment district, and which said district is also described in
general terms in the aforesaid 3esolution of Intention No.79,
to which said plat aryl Resolution of Intention reference is
hereby made for a more particular description of said assess-
ment district, and for all details with reference to the
extent of said assessment district.

SECTION 3. That the City 3ngineer of said City is
hereby directed to make a diagram of the property affected
or benefited by the proposed work or improvement, as de-
scribed in said 'Resolution of Intention No. 79, and to be
assessed to pay the expenses thereof. Such diagram shall
show each separate lot, piece or parcel of land, the area
in square feet of each of such lots, pieces or parcels of
land and the relative location of the same, to the work
proposed to be done, all within the limits of the said
assessment district.
SECTION 4. That the said Board of Trustees hereby
determines that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments
and bear interest at the rate of seven per cent (7f) per
annum will be issued hereunder in the manner provided by the
"Improvement Bond Act of 1915 ", the last instalment of which
bonds shall mature nine years from the second day of July
next succeeding ten months from their date.'
SECTION 5. That except as herein and in said 2eso-
lution of Intention No. 79 provided, the proceedings for
the aforesaid improvement shall be had and taken under that
certain act of the Legislature of the State of California,
commonly known, designated aril referred to as the "Improve-
ment Act of 191111, aril under all acts amendatory thereof.
SECTIO14 6. The City Clerk of said City is hereby
directed to post conspicuously for five days on or near the
Council Chamber door of the Board of Trustees, in the manner
and form required by law, a notice with the specifications
inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing said work.
Said City Clerk is hereby further directed to publish
twice in the E1 Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper printed,
published and circulated in said City of 11`1 Segundo, Cali-
fornia, and hereby designated for the purpose of said
publication, in the manner and form required by law, a notice
of said work, inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing

said work and referring to th- specifications posted or
on file. Said notice shall require that each proposal or
bid be accompanied by either a certified check or a bond,
as prescribed by law, and for an amount not less than
ten per cent (10,1,) of the aggregate of the proposal or
bid, payable to the said City of E1 Segundo, California.
SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall certify to
the passage and adoption of this resolution, shall enter
the same in the Book of Resolutions of said City of -1 Seg-
undo, and shall make a minute of the adoption thereof in
the records of the Board of Trustees of s,-id City, in the
minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and
adopted.
