A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTPZS OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE
IMPROVEICWT OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF MkPZE AVE-
NUE, WITHIN THE SAID CITY, AS CONTEMPLATED IN
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 61 OF THE SAID ]POARD9
DECLARING THE WORK OR IMPROVEMMT TO BE OF
MORE THAN LOCAL OR ORDINARY PUBLIC BENEFIT;
THAT THE MST OF SAID WORK OR n1PROVEMMT SHALT.
BE ASSESSED UPON A DISTRICT, AND DETERMINING
THAT BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT THE COST
THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the board of Trustees of the City of
E1 Segundo, California, has heretofore duly passed and
adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 61, declaring
the intention of the said Board to order the work here-
inafter referred to to be done;
AND WHEREAS, notice of the passage of said
resolution and of the matters therein contained, and of
the said proposed improvement, has been duly given and
posted as required by law;
AND WHEREAS, no protests or objections against
the said work or improvement or against the extent of
the district proposed to be asseseed to pay the costs and
expenses thereof, have been made, either in writing or
otherwise;
AND WHEREAS, said Board of Trustees has now
acquired jurisdiction to order the said work or improve-
ment to be made;

NOW THEREi'ORE, the Board of Trustees of the
City of E1 Segundo, California, do resolve, declare and
determine as follows:
SECTION 1. That the street work or improve-
ment mentioned and described in Resolution of Intention
No. 61 of the Board of Trustees of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, passed and adopted on the 4th day of September,
1923, is required by the public interest and convenience;
and the said Board of Trustees of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, hereby orders to be done, the said work or
improvement upon certain portions of Maple Avenue, within
the said city, all as the same is contemplated, set forth
and fully described in said Resolution of Intention No. 61,
which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the
said City of E1 Segundo, and which is hereby referred to
for a description of said work, aryl hereby by this refer-
ence made a part hereof for the purpose of said description.
SECTION 2. That the said contemplated work or im-
provement in the opinion of the said Board of Trustees of
said City of El Segundo, is of more than local or ordinary
public benefit, and said Board of Trustees by and in the
aforesaid Resolution of Intention No. 61 made the expenses
of the said work or improvement chargeable upon a district,
which said district is shown by a plat designated as "Plan
Nh. P123717 ", on file in the office of the City Engineer of
the said City of E1 Segundo, to which said plat reference
is hereby made for the colored boundary line, showing the
extent of the territory to be included in the assessment dis-
trict, and which said district is also described in general
terms in the aforesaid Resolution of Intention No. 61, to
which said plat and Resolution of Intention reference is
hereby made for a more particular description of said

assessment district, and for all details with reference
to the extent of said assessment district.
SECTION 3. That the City Engineer of said
City is hereby directed to make a diagram of the property
affected or benefited by the proposed work or improvement,
as described in said Resolution of Intention No. 61, and
to be assessed to pay the expenses thereof. Such diagram
shall show each separate lot, piece or parcel of land, the
area in square feet of each of such lots, pieces or parcels
of ]and and the relative location of the same, and the work
proposed to be done, all within the limits of the said
assessment district.
SECTION 4. That the said Board of Trustees
hereby determines that serial bonds to represent unpaid
assessments and bear interest at the rate of seven per cent
(7%) per annum will be issued hereunder in the manner pro-
vided by the "Improvement Bond Act of 1915 ".
SECTION S. That except as herein and in said
Resolution of Intention No. 61 provided, the proceedings
for the aforesaid improvement shall be had and taken under
that certain act of the Legislature of the State of Cali-
fornia, commonly known, designated and referred to as the
"Improvement Act of 1911 ", and under all acts amendatory
thereof.
SECTION 6, The City Clerk of said City is hereby
directed to post conspicuously for five days on or near the
Council Chamber door of the Board of Trustees, in the manner
and form required by law, a notice with the specifications
inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing said work.
Said City Clerk is hereby further directed to pub-
lisp twice in the E1 Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper

of general circulation, printed, published and cirou-
lated within the said City of El Segundo, California,
and hereby designated for the purpose of said publica-
tion, in the manner and form required by law, a notice
of said work,, inviting sealed proposals or bids for
doing said work and referring to the specifications
posted or on file. Said notice shall require that each
proposal or bid be accompanied by either a certified check
or a bond, as prescribed by law, and for an amount not
less than ten per cent (10%) of the aggregate of the pro-
posal or bid, payable to the said City of E1 Segundo,
Cali fornia.
SECTION 7, The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this resolution, shall enter the
same in the Book of Resolutions of said City of 21 Segundo,
and shall make a minute of the adoption thereof, in the
records of the Board of Trustees of said city in the min-
utes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.

the whole number of members of the Board of Trustees of
the said city is five; that the foregoing resolution,
being Resolution No. 64 , was passed and adopted by
the said Board of Trustees, approved and signed by the
President of said Board, and attested by the City Clerk
of said City, all at a regular meeting of the said Board
held on the day of September, 1923, and that the
same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
