CC RESOLUTION 41RESOLUTION N0. 41. A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE HOLDING OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON MONDAY, THE 10TH DAY OF APRIL, 1922, FOR THE ELECTION OF CERTAIN MUNICIPAL OFFICERS OF SAID CITY. BE IT RESOLVED AND DETERMINED by the Board of Trustees of the City of E1 Segundo, California, as follows: SECTION 1. That there shall be held in the City of E1 Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of California, on Monday, the 10th day of April, 1922, a general municipal election of the qualified electors of said City for the purpose of electing two members of the Board of Trustees of said City for the full term of four years. SECTION 2. That the ballots to be used at said election shall be both as to form and matter contained therein, ouch as may be required by law to be used thereat, and the City Clerk of said City is hereby instructed, directed and authorized to give notice of said election in the time, form and manner as required by law, and said City Clerk is hereby further instructed, directed and authorized to procure all supplies that may be necessary to properly and lawfully conduct said general municipal election. 1. .r SECTION 3. That for the purpose of holding said general municipal election, there shall be two voting pre- cincts within the said City, consisting of a consolidation of the regular voting precincts established for holding general state and county elections, as follows: Voting Precinct "A" shall be known as such and shall include all of the territory in the City of E1 Segundo, California, within the exterior boundaries of E1 Segundo Precinct No. 1, as the same were fixed by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles, California, on the 29th day of December, 1921, and now being of record in Book 78 -A of the minutes of the said Board of Supervisors, reference to the same being hereby expressly made for a more particular description of said precinct, and the said exterior boundaries forming the exterior boundaries of the territory included within said El Segundo Precinct No. 1 shall be and constitute, and the same are hereby designated as the exterior boundaries of said Voting Precinct "A ". That the polling place in said Voting Precinct "A" shall be in the basement of the Methodist Church, on the northeast corner of Mariposa Avenue and Main Street, within the said City, and the Board of Election to conduct the said election in said Voting Precinct "A" shall be, and the same is hereby appointed as follows: Inspector: John S. Orr. Judges: Fred M. Duley and Mrs. Violet Thurston. Clerks: Milford E. Tracy and Thomas Levi Tuck. Consolidated Voting Precinct "B" shall be known as such and shall include all of the territory in the City 2. of El Segundo, California, within the exterior boundaries of E1 Segundo City Precinct No. 2 and El Segundo City Precinct No. 3, as the same were fixed by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles, California, on the 29th day pf December, 1921, and now being of record in Book 78 -A of the minutes of the said Board of Super- visors, reference to the same being hereby expressly made for a more particular description of said precincts, and the said exterior boundaries forming the exterior boun- daries of the territory included within said E1 Segundo City Precincts Nos. 2 and 3 shall be and constitute, and the same are hereby designated as the exterior boundaries of said Consolidated Voting Precinct "B ", said E1 Segundo City Precinct -Nos. 2 and 3 being hereby consolidated for the purpose of holding said election. That the polling place in said Consolidated Voting Precinct "B" shall be in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of the City of E1 Segundo, California, at the northwest corner of Franklin Avenue and Richmond Street, within said City, and the Board of Election to conduct the election in said Consolidated Voting Precinct "B" shall be, and the same is hereby appointed as follows: Inspector: John 0. Fitzgerald. Judges: Mrs. Ella L. Manson and Miss Mary Emilie Rueger, Clerks: Mrs. Effie R. Magee and Mrs. Emily H. Dyer. All of the persons hereinabove named are hereby appointed as such officers respectively, and their com- pensation is hereby fixed at the sum of Eight Dollars 3. ($8.00) each for said election. SECTION 4. That the polls for said election shall be open from six o'clock A. M. to seven o'clock P. M. of the said day of said election, except as pro- vided in Section 1164 of the Political Code of the State of California. SECTION 6. That notice of the time and place of holding said general municipal election is hereby given and that this resolution and the posting and pub- lication thereof, as hereinafter directed, together with such other notices as may be required to be given by law, shall constitute the notice of said election. SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of Resolutions of the said City of E1 Segundo; shall make a minute of the passage thereof in the records of the meeting of the Board of Trustees, at which the same was passed and adopted; shall cause the same to be published two times consec- utively before the day of said election in the E1 Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation printed, published and circulated in said City, and which is hereby designated for that purpose; and shall conspicuously post a printed copy of this resolution for at least one week during the period preceding the date of such election, in three public places in the said City of E1 Segundo, to -wit, one such copy on the 4. bulletin board in the United States Post Office in said City; one such copy on the bulletin board at the main entrance to the City Hall within said City; and one such copy near the entrance to the main gate of the Standard Oil Company on E1 Segundo Avenue near its inter- section with Richmond Street, within the said City.
