RESOLUTION NO. 26
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY
OF FL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE
OF THE HOLDING OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO
BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON MONDAY, THE 12TH DAY OF APRIL,
1920, FOR THE ELECTION OF CERTAIN MUNICIPAL OPFICERE
OF SAID CITY AND TO SUBMIT A CERTAIN PROPOSITION TO
THE QUALIFIED ELECTOiiF OF SAID MUNICIPALITY.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of the City
of E1 Segundo, California, as fellows;
Section 1. That there shall be held in the City of
E1 Segundo, in the County of Los Angeles, State of California
on Monday, the 12th day of April, 1920, a general municipal
election of the qualified electors of said city, for the
purpose of electing three (3) members of the Board of Trustees
of said city for the full term of four (4) years, one member
of the Board of Trustees of said city for a short term of
two (2) years, a City Clerk for the full term of four (4)
years, and a City Treasurer for the full term of four (4)
years; and for the further purpose of submitting to the quali-
fied electors of said city, in accordance with the provisions
of Section 855 of Act 2348 of the General Laws of the State
of California, the following proposition, to-wit:
"Shall each member of the Board . . . .

Section 2. That the ballots to be used at said
election shall be, both as to form and as to matters
contained therein, such as may be required by law to be
used thereat, and the City Clerk of said city is hereby
instructed, directed and authorized to give notice of said
election in the time, form and manner as required by law,
and he is hereby further instructed, directed and author-
ized to procure all supplies that may be necessary to
properly and lawfully conduct said municipal election.
Section 3. That for the purpose of holding said
general municipal election, the whole of the City of E1
Segundo, California, shall be and constitute one election
precinct, to be known and designated as "Consolidated
Voting Precinct A comprising State and County Precincts
Nos. 1 and 2, the exterior boundaries of the said City of
E1 Segundo, as the same now exist, being hereby fixed and
established as the exterior boundaries of said consolidated
Voting Precinct A.
That the polling place in said Consolidated Voting
Precinct A for said general municipal election, shall be
in the Council Chamber in the City Hall of the City of E1
Segundo, at the Northwest corner of Franklin Avenue
and Richmond
Street in the City of El Segundo,
County of Los Angeles, State of California, and the Board
of Election to conduct the said election in said Consoli-
dated Voting Precinct A, shall be, and the same is hereby
appointed as follows:
For Insoector: John 0. Fitzgerald.
For Judges: Thomas L.Tuck, and Mrs. Ethel M. Palmer.
For Clerks: Milford R. Tracy, and Mrs. Pearl D. Draggoo.
All of the persons hereinabove named are hereby
appointed as such officers respectively from the list of

on file in the office of the County Clerk of
applicants
Los Angeles County, pursuant to law,
and the
compensation of said election officers is fixed at 6.00
each for said election.
Section 4. That the polls at said election shall be
open from six o'clock A. M. to 7 o'clock P. 11. of the day of
said election, except as provided in Section 1164 of the
Political Code of the State of California.
Section 5. That notice of the time and place of hold-
iag said general municipal election is hereby given, and that
this resolution, and the posting and publication thereof, as
hereinafter directed, together with such other notices as
may be required by law, shall constitute the notice of said
election.
Section 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this resolution, and shall enter the same in the
Book of Resolutions of the City of E1 Segundo, and shall make
a minute of the passage thereof in the records of the meeting:
of the Board of Trustees at which the same is passed, and
shall cause the same to be published two times consecutively
before the date of said election in the El Segundo Herald,
a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed, published
and circulated within said city, which is hereby designated
for that purpose, and shall conspicuously post a printed copy
of this resolution for at least one week next preceding the
date of such election in three oublic places within the said
City of E1 Segundo, to -wit: One such copy on the bulletin
board at the entrance to the City Hall of said City; one
such copy on the bulletin board at the United States Post
O rice within the said City; and one such copy at the main
entrance gate of the Standard Oil Company near the inter -
El Segundo
section of Avenue and Richmond Street within the

Passed and adopted this 10th day of March, 1920.

I, Victor D. McCarthy, City Clerk of the City of
E1 Segundo, California, do hereby certify that the foregoing
resolution, being resolution No. 26 was passed by the
Board of Trustees of said City, signed by the President of
said Board and attested by the City Clerk, all at a regular
meeting of said Board held on the 10th day of March
1920 and that the same was pissed by the following vote:
AYES: Trustees - ;vessels, Smiley, Vandervort, Ward,
and Bryson.
