CC RESOLUTION 25N RESOLUTION N0. 25 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CLOSE UPt VACATE AND ABANDON FOR PUBLIC ALLEY PURPOSES, ALL OF A CERTnIF PUBLIC ALLEY IN BLOCK 84 OF EL SEGUNDO, AS SHOWN UPON SHEET 3 OF EL SEGUNDO, RECORDED IN BOOK 20, PAGES 22 AND 23 OF MAPS, RECORDS OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY RECORDER OF SAID COUNTY. BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of the City of E1 Segundo as follows: Section 1. That the public interest and convenience re- quire that there be closed up, vacated and abandoned for public alley purposes, and the said Board of Trustees does hereby de- clare its intention to close up, vacate and abandon for public alley purposes, all of that certain public alley in Block Eighty four (84) of E1 Fegundo, as shown upon Sheet 3 of E1 Segundo, recorded in Book 20, pages 22 and 23 of Maps, records of Los Angeles County, California, on file in the office of the County Recorder of said County, and which said alley is more particularly described as follows: All of that certain fifteen (15) foot alley running easterly and westerly in said Block 84, being of a uniform width of seven and one -half (7) feet, measured at right angles, on eithernof the following described center line: Beginning at a point in the easterly line of said Block 84, distant Three hundred and seven and one -half feet (307') north of the south line of said Block 84, and running thence westerly on a line parallel with the southerly line of said Block 84, a distance of One hundred and forty (140) feet. The purpose of these proceedings, is to vacate and abandon for public alley purposes all that certain public alley in said Block 84, as hereinabove referred to. Section 2. That the exterior boundaries of the dis- trict to be affected by said work of improvement, and to be assessed to pay the damages, costs and expenses, if any, are described, and the said district is hereby fixed as follows: All of Block 84 of E1 Segundo, as shown upon Sheet 3 of E1 Segundo, recorded in Book 20, pages 22 and 23 of Maps, records of Los Angeles County, California, on file in the office of the County Recorder of said County, and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the northeast (NE) corner of said Block 84; thence southerly along _'V�d the easterly line ofABlook 84 to the southeast corner of said Block 84; thence westerly along the southerly line of said Block 84 to the southwest (Siu) corner of said Block 84; thence northerly along the westerly line of said Block 84 to the northwest (NIN) corner of said Block 84; thence easterly along the northerly line of said Block 84 to the point of beginning. Section 3. The Superintendent of Streets of the City of E1 Segundo is directed to cause notice of the passage of this resolution to be posted at the places and in the manner required by law, and also to cause notice similar in substance to be pub- lished as required by law in the E1 Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circu- lated in the City of El Segundo, and hereby designated for that purpose. Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage -2- of this resolution, shall cause the same to be entered in the Book of Resolutions of the City of E1 Segundo, and shall make a minute of the passage thereof in the r(-,cord of the meeting of the Board of Trustees at which the same is passed and adopted.
