BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of the City of E1 Segundo as follows: Section 1. That the public interest and convenience re- quire that there be closed up, vacated and abandoned for public alley purposes, and the said Board of Trustees does hereby de- clare its intention to close up, vacate and abandon for public alley purposes, all of the public alleys in Blocks 83 and 84 of nl Se,-,undo, as shown upon Sheet ;o. 3 of El Segundo, recorded 'in Los Angeles County, California, in the office of the County Recorder of said County in Book 20 at pages 22 and 23 of 1,1aps, 0 The said alleys are situated within the said City of E1 Segundo, County of Los. "nneles, State of California, and are more par- titularly described as follows, to -wit: ill of that certain fifteen foot alley, running easterly and westerly through said Block 83, and being of a uniform width of seven and one -half (73 ) feet, measured at right angles on either side of the following described eer_ter line; Beginning at a po_nt in the westerly line of said Block 83, three hundred seven and one -half (307? -) feet north of the south line of said 24c Block 63 and running thence easterly on a line parallel with the southerly line of said Block 83 a distance of Three hundred (300) feet. All of that certain fourteen (14) foot alley running northerly and southerly in said Block 83, and being of a uniform width of seven (7) feet measured at right angles on either side of the following described center line: Beginning at a point in the southerly line of said Block 83, distant One hundred and fifty (150) feet east of the west line of said Block 63, and running thence northerly on a line parallel with the westerly line of s,-id 3lock 83, a distance of Three hundred (300) feet. All of that certain fifteen (15) foot alley running easterly and westerly in said Block 84 and being of a uniform idth of seven and one -half (7?-) feet,measured at right angles, on either side of the following described center line: Beginning at a point in the westerly line of said Block 84, distant Three hundred seven and one -half (3071) feet north of the south line of said Block 84, and running thence easterly, on a line parallel with the southerly line of slid block 84, a distance of One hundred and sixty (160) feet. All of that certain twenty (20) foot alley running northerly and southerly in said Block 84, and being of a uniform width of ten (10) feet measured at right angles, on either side of the following described center line: Beginning at a point in the southerly line of said lock 64, distant One hundred and fifty (150) feet east of the west line of said Block 84, and running thence northerly on a line parallel with the westerly line of said Block 64, a distance of Three hundred (300) feet. The purpose of these proceedings, is to vacate and abandon for public alley purposes, all of the public alleys in said Blocks 83 and 84, as hereinabove referred to. Section 2. ;'hat the exterior boundaries of the district -2- to be affected b said work of improvement and to be assessed to pay the damages, cost, and expenses thereof, if any, are des- cribed, and the said district is hereby fixed as follows: Beginning at the northeast corner of Block 84 as shown upon ;.heet 3 of El Segundo, recorded in Lao Book 20, pages 22 and 23 of 11aps, records of Los _n,eles County, California, on file in the office of the County Recorder of said County; thence westerly along the southerly line of Balm revenue as the same is s_iown upon the said Sheet 3 of El Segundo, to the northwest corner of Block 83 as shown upon said Sheet 3 of E1 Segundo; thence southerly along the easterly linE. of Virginia Street as the same ie shown upon the said Sheet 3 of E1 Segundo, to the southwest corner of said Block 83; thence easterly along the northerly line of Mariposa avenue, as the same is shown upon said Sheet 3 of El Segundo, to tre southeast cor.ier of t -lie above mentioned Block 84; thence northerly along the vesterly line of Richmond Street as the erne is shown upon said Sheet 3 of E1 Segundo, to the point of beginning. Section 3. she Superintendent of Streets of the City of 1;1 Segundo is directed to cruse notice of t;ie passage of this resolution to be posted at the places and in the mariner required by law, and also to cause notice similar in substance to be pub- lished as regi lred by 1-tw in the -L�1 Segundo Herald, a weekly ne•;rs- oaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in the said City of El Segundo, and hereby designated_ for that purpose. Section 4. she City Clerk shall certify to the pas-_age i of this resolution, shall cause the sErne to be entered in the Book of aesolutions of the City of El Se,,�undo, and shall make a minute of the passage thereof in the record of the meeting of the Board of 12rustees at - a,hicn the same is passed and adopted. -3- Passed and adopted this 5th day of November , 1919.
