Consideration and possible action regarding the adoption of an Ordinance to amend the El Segundo Municipal Code to conform Municipal Code with statutory provisions of the Digital Infrastructure and Video Competition Act (DIVCA) regarding cable and commercial video services, including establishing franchise and Public Education Government (PEG) fees at the current local franchise fee rates of 5% and 2% of gross revenues, respectively. MOTION by Council Member Jacobson, SECONDED by Council Member Fisher to approve the recommendation of the El Segundo Community Cable Advisory Committee to amend the El Segundo Municipal Code in order to conform Municipal Code with statutory provisions of the Digital Infrastructure and Video Competition Act (DIVCA) and set fees at the existing franchise rate of 5% and PEG rate of 2% of gross revenues.
