INVOCATION - Pastor Randy Williams of Pacific Baptist Church PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - Council Member John Gaines PRESENTATIONS (a) Council Member Gaines presented a Proclamation to Sue Carter, Gary Yesavage, Lilly Craig, proclaiming February 2001 as "Literacy Awareness Month," and recognition and acceptance of Chevron's $5,000 donation in support of the El Segundo Public Library Literacy Program. (b) Council Member Wernick presented a Proclamation to Diane Saign, Team One, encouraging all citizens to join the American Cancer Society in its crusade against cancer and proclaiming the month of February 2001 as "Daffodil Days 2001." (c) Presentation by Marcy Dugan, on behalf of the El Segundo Rotary Club, of signage for school safety. Rotary presented 10 new crossing signs to the City. (d) Presentation by El Segundo Power II LLC on power plant project, its Application for Certification to the California Energy Commission and related matters.
