PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS - (Related to City Business Only - 5 minute limit per person, 30 minute limit
total) Individuals who have received value of $50 or more to communicate to the Clty Council on behalf of another, and employees speaking on behalf of
their employer, must so idennfy themselves prior to addressing the City Council. Failure to do so shall be a misdemeanor and punishable by a fine of $250.

CLOSED SESSION: The City Council moved into a closed session pursuant to applicable law, including
the Brown Act (Government Code §54950, et seq.) for the purposes of conferring with the City's Real
Property Negotiator; and /or conferring with the City Attorney on potential and /or existing litigation; and /or
discussing matters covered under Gov't Code §54957 (Personnel); and /or conferring with the City's Labor
Negotiators as follows:
CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - EXISTING LITIGATION (Gov't Code §54956.9(a))

SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS -
Interview applicants for positions on the Economic Development Advisory Council, the El
Segundo Library Board of Trustees, Senior Citizens Housing Corporation Board, Planning
Commission and Recreation & Parks Commission.
Interviews for positions on the various committees, boards and commissions commenced at
7:40 p.m..
Economic Development Advisory Council:
Council consensus to appoint Gary Horwitz for unlimited term.
Planning Commission:
Council consensus to reappoint Brian Crowley for a 4 year term expiring on June 30, 2001.
Library Board of Trustees:
Council consensus to appooint Bernice Whitcomb for a 3 year term expiring on June 30,
2000.
Senior Housing Board:
Council consensus to continue recruitment of additional applicants.
Recreation and Parks Commission:
Council consensus to reappoint Debbie Bundy for a 4 year term expiring on May 30, 2001,
and to appoint Sandra Romero for a 4 year term expiring on May 30, 2001.
Council consensus for staff to contact past applicants who indicated an interest to serve on a commission,
board or committee.
