CALLED TO ORDER by Mayor Jacobson at 3:00 p.m. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE led by Councilman Robbins ROLL CALL Mayor Jacobson - Present Mayor ProTem Weston - Present Councilman Switz - Absent Councilman Robbins - Present Councilwoman Friedkin - Present PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS - (Related to City Business Only) - 5 minute limit per person, 30 minute limit total) - No Individuals addressed Council A. SPECIAL ORDERS OF BUSINESS 1. Tour of Hyperion Wastewater Treatment Facility at 1200 Vista del Mar, Beach Parking Lot, Los Angeles, California. CITY COUNCIL AND PUBLIC DEPARTED ON SHUTTLE BUS AT HOLLY STREET EN- TRANCE TO THE HYPERION WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY. CITY COUNCIL AND PUBLIC ARRIVED AT 4:58 P.M., AND RECONVEINED THE MEETING IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBER AND THEN MOVED TO THE WEST CONFERENCE ROOM. City Manager Morrison informed the Council of an urgent item arising after the posting of the agenda, and asked their approval to hear the item. MOVED by Councilman Robbins; SECONDED by Councilwoman Friedkin to hear an item arising after the posting of the agenda. MOTION PASSED BY THE FOLLOWING VOICE VOTE 41011: AYES - Mayor Jacobson, Mayor ProTem Weston, Councilman Robbins and Councilwoman Friedkin. NOES - None. ABSENT - Councilman Switz. 2. Economic Development Program Advertisment Campaign City Manager Morrison introduced Scot Gilbert, Jody Gallant, Kelly Howell and Glenn Baklobiac from Team 1. A presentation of the new advertisment campaign plan for the Economic Development Program ensued regarding magazine and newspaper ads, copy dialogue, and a media plan. MOVED by Mayor ProTem Weston; SECONDED by Councilwoman Friedkin to approve the advertisment campaign concept, proceed foward to commit ad space, and approve of the $150,000 budget. MOTION PASSED BY THE FOLLOWING VOICE VOTE 41011: Mayor Jacobson, Mayor ProTem Weston, Councilman Robbins and Councilwoman Friedkin. NOES - None. ABSENT - Councilman Switz.
