OF THE EL SEGUNDO CITY COUNCIL

PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS -(City Business Only -5 minute limit)
Six individuals addressed Council.
Lou Lightfoot gave presentation on the General Plan Survey Results.
George Wiley, President Chamber of Commerce commended Lightfoot Survey.
Gaa Wallace, 516 Oregon Street asked Council to keep politics out of the discussion.
Nancy Wernick, President School Board stated that the use of the property is mute, and public
agencies have first choice on the property.
Councilman Switz asked for clarification from Ms. Wernick; Ms. Wernick clarified the previous
statement.
City Attorney Dolley stated State law requires offering the school property to certain agencies
before an open sale
MOVED by Mayor ProTem Wise; SECONDED by Councilman Switz for the City's and School
District's Attorney's to consult and decide the best results for use of the Imperial Street School
site; to discuss all options and present them to Council, and for a representative from both
agencies to be present. MOTION PASSED BY UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE 4/011- Councilman
West absent.
Brian Crowley, 502 California commented on density question and survey in general stating
that the weighted average density desired by residents was 16.7 and 17.9 by businesses, and
that 18 was a ballpark figure.
Jerry Sanders. 2041 Rosecrans. Continental Development Corporation questioned whetherthere
would be a meeting for questions on the proposed General Plan.

Discussion and Council consensus to schedule future workshop dates for General Plan review
as August 24 and 31 at 7:00 p.m.
Willard Krick, 1414 E. Mariposa Avenue questioned combining categories process; Lou
Lightfoot, Consultant, responded plus or minus 4% apply to individual responses. To combine
subtract 4, and then presented an example stating minus 4% on response 22% and minus 4%
on 28.3%; Councilman Robbins responded stating then that meant the combination of any two
is an error of plus or minus 8.
CLOSED SESSION - NONE
The City Council did not moved into a closed session pursuant to applicable law, including the
Brown Act (Government Code Section 54950, et sec. as announced below by the City Attorney,
for the purposes of conferring with the City Attorney on potential and /or existing litigation
and /or discussing personnel matters.
