CALL TO ORDER by Mayor Carl Jacobson at 7:00 p.m.

1. Dennis Wingate, Representing DESI (Downtown El Segundo Incorporated),
explained to Council how the organization was funded and the present status of the
funding.
At 7:15 p.m. Mayor Jacobson left the Chamber and returned at 7:17 p.m.
SPECIAL ORDERS OF BUSINESS
1. BUDGET STUDY SESSION
Council reviewed the Personnel Department, Development Services Department and
the City Library.

NEW BUSINESS -CITY ATTORNEY None
COUNCILMEM 3ERS REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS -None
Council recessed at 8:50 p.m. and reconvened at 10:00 p.m. with all members answering
roll call.
CLOSED SESSION
Pursuant to the California Government Code a Closed Session will be held on the
following matters:
GC 54957.6 - Employee Group Negotiations
2 matters
City Attorney Dolley advised Council that a matter of urgency that was not apparent at
posting should be reviewed by Council under Closed Session.
Councilman Anderson MOVED, Councilman West SECONDED, to consider one matter
under GC 54956.9(b).MOTION CARRIED BY AN UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE.
Council adjourned to the Mayor's Office for Closed Session at 10:05 and reconvened at
11:00 p.m. with all members answering roll call. City Attorney Dolley announced that
no actions were taken in Closed Session.
ADJOURNMENT
Council adjourned at 11:01 p.m. to Monday, June 5, 1989 at 7:00 p.m.
