CONSENT AGENDA
All items listed are to be adopted by one motion without discussion and passed
unanimously. If a call for discussion of an item is made, the item(s) will be considered
individually under the next heading of business.
7. Landscaping and Lighting of 2 City Parking Lots Located at the Northeast Corner
of Richmond Street and Franklin Avenue, and the 400 Block of Main Street
Accept the work as complete
Mayor Jacobson stated that Council wanted to reconsider the above item from the
August 1, 1989 Agenda that was posted and continued. The sprinkler heads were not
functioning properly at the subject sight. Councilman Anderson MOVED, Councilman
Clutter SECONDED to reconsider Consent Agenda Item Number 7 and to bring it back
on August 15, 1989 for possible Council approval at that time.
MOTION WAS CARRIED BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE:
AYES: Councilmen Anderson, Clutter, Mayor Protem Dannen and Mayor Jacobson
ABSTAINING AND NOT VOTING: Councilman West.
Councilman West did not vote and did not participate in the discussion on Consent
Agenda Item Number 7, due to a possible conflict of interest.
CLOSED SESSION
Pursuant to the California Government Code a Closed Session will be held on the
following matters:

At 7:10 p.m. Council adjourned to the Mayor's Office for a Closed Session. At 8:15 p.m.
Council reconvened in the Council Chambers with all members present and answering
roll call.
City Attorney Dolley announced Council had considered two documents in reference to
the employment of Mr. Ronald E. Cano, for the position of City Manager. The
documents would be effective as of September, 1989, and he stated that once adopted
would be public record.
Councilman West MOVED, Councilman Anderson SECONDED to approve the subject
documents and approve the appointment of Ronald E. Cano as City Manager. MOTION
CARRIED BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE:
AYES: Councilmen Anderson, Dannen, West, Clutter and Mayor Jacobson
NOES: None
