Discussion of Possible Ballots Items for the March 7, 1989 Special Election. Consensus of Council to place the PERS issue on the March 7, 1988 Ballot. Council recessed at 8:40 PM and reconvened at 8:55 PM with all members answering roll call. Consensus of Council to place the Utility User Tax issue on the March 7, 1988 Ballot increasing the 2% to 4% for business and industry only with no co-generation not for resale; no sunset clause. Recommendation to contract with Municipal Resource Consultants to orcvide business license fee audit services. Approve contract Councilman Anderson MOVED, Mayor Protem Dannen SECONDED to approve the contract with Municipal Resource Consultants. MOTION WAS CARRIED BY U1WEI US VOICE VOTE. 2. Resolution authorizing Municipal Resource Consultants to represent City in Sale Tax Audit. City Attorney Dolley read the title of the following: A RESOILITION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEMM, CALSFORNIA, DESIGNATING A CITY CONSULTANT AS THE AUTHORIZED CITY REPRESENTATIVE TO EXANIINE SALES AND TAX RECORDS.
