Francis Dent 425 W. Street-e xpressed that she did not like the
concept of placing a sign to toward early turns by pilots out of the IAX.
Jerry Saunders President of the Board of Directors. E1 Segundo Chamber of
Comnerce-submitted a letter to Mr. Ronald Hart, City Clerk and asked that
the letter be distributed to Council for review and comment.
SPECIAL CPXM OF BUSINF =SS
1. Discussion of Possible Ballots Items for the March 7, 1989 Special
Election.
Consensus of Council to place the PERS issue on the March 7, 1988 Ballot.
Council recessed at 8:40 PM and reconvened at 8:55 PM with all members
answering roll call.
Consensus of Council to place the Utility User Tax issue on the March 7,
1988 Ballot increasing the 2% to 4% for business and industry only with no
co-generation not for resale; no sunset clause.
Consensus of Council not to propose an increase in the Transient Occupancy
Tax.

1. Recommendation to contract with Municipal Resource Consultants to
orcvide business license fee audit services.
Approve contract
Councilman Anderson MOVED, Mayor Protem Dannen SECONDED to approve the
contract with Municipal Resource Consultants. MOTION WAS CARRIED BY
U1WEI US VOICE VOTE.
2. Resolution authorizing Municipal Resource Consultants to represent City
in Sale Tax Audit.
City Attorney Dolley read the title of the following:
A RESOILITION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEMM, CALSFORNIA, DESIGNATING A CITY
CONSULTANT AS THE AUTHORIZED CITY REPRESENTATIVE
TO EXANIINE SALES AND TAX RECORDS.

Mayor Protem Dannen MOVED, Councilman Anderson SECONDED, to waiver further
reading and adopt subject resolution. MOTION CARRIED BY LMNIMUS VOICE
VOTE.
3. Discussion of SCAC-Draft Air Quality Management Plan 1988.
Consensus of Council to have Councilman Anderson and Councilman West review
and keep cognizant of subject plan and report back to Council.
