MINUTES OF ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
OF THE EL SEGUNDO CITY COUNCIL
October 13, 1981
1. CALL TO ORDER
The E1 Segundo City Council convened in an adjourned regular session on
Tuesday October 13, 1981, at 5:00 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chamber
of the E1 Segundo City Hall. The City Clerk reported that a Notice of
Adjournment had been posted as required by law and that an affidavit of
posting was in her file.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIA_ZCE 1.7 as led by Mayor Richard Van Vranken.
3. ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmen Armstrong, Bue, Johnson,
Siadek and Mayor Van Vranken
Absent: Councilmen None
4. The Mayor a' sed that this meeting had been called to discuss matters of
salaries anc = enefits for management and Fire Department personnel, and
therefore, would recess to his office for a closed session, the hour being
5:03 o'clock p.m.
At the hour of 7:18 o'clock p.m., the Council reconvened, all members
being present and answering roll call.
The Mayor announced that the Council will compose a letter in answer to
the Firemen's letter, which would be available no later than noon on
Thursday October 15, 1981.
Thereafter, notion was made by Councilman Bue, seconded by Councilman
Johnson, that the City :tanager's salary be established as $54,000 per
year and the City Attorney's salary established as $28,000 per year.
Motion carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Armstrong, Bue, Johnson,
Siadek and Mayor Van Vranken
Noes: Councilmen None
Absent: Councilmen None
5. ADJOURNMENT
No other business appearing to come before the Council at this session,
thi_ Mayor ordered the meeting adjourned, the hour of adjournment being
7:20 o'clock p.m.
