1975 FEB 24 CC MINX 3905 El Segundo, California February 24, 1975 An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of EL Segundo, California, was held in the Council Chamber of the City Hatt of said City on the above date. The Clerk reported that a Notice of Adjourn- ment had been posted as required by Law and that an affidavit of posting was in the City Clerk's file. The meeting was then called to order by E. L. Balmer, Mayor, the hour being 7:00 o'clock p.m. ROLL CALL Councilmen Present: Nagel, Rockhold, Stephens, Van Vranken and Mayor Balmer; Councilmen Absent: None. City Manager Jones announced that all the cities in the I -105 Free- way corridor had been invited to attend a meeting on March 5, 1975 at 3:00 o'clock p.m., in the Lynwood City Hall to discuss matters pertaining to the Freeway construction. Further advised that the schematic plans and cost estimates had been furnished the Council for the new Police building and civic center com- plex and that the purpose of this meeting was to go over the plans, giving directions to the architect so that he may proceed with the project. Mr. Marion K. Varner and Mr. Jerry Keller, architects, displayed plot plans and discussed various aspects of the project. After discussion, it was the general consensus of the Council that a modified Plan 'B' be adopted. Mr. Varner advised that a new schematic plan would be drawn for the civic center in accordance with the Council's directions, and at the same time, revisions would be made to the landscap- ing of the property. By mutual agreement of the Council and the architect, revisions to the Civic Center Plan are to be reviewed at 6:00 o'clock p.m. on March 18, 1975, in the Council Chamber, just prior to the regular Council meeting. No further business appearing to come before the Council at this session, it was moved by Councilman Nagel, seconded by Mayor Balmer, that the meeting adjourn until March 3, 1975, at the hour of 7:00 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of the City of EL Segundo, California, the hour of adjournment of this meeting being 7:45 o'clock p.m. Motion carried.
