An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
EL Segundo, California, was held in the Council Chamber of the City Hall
of said City on the above date. The Clerk reported that a Notice of Ad-
journment had been posted as required by law and that affidavit of posting
was in the City Clerk's file.
The meeting was then called to order by E. L. Balmer, Mayor,
the hour being 6:00 o'clock p.m.

Stephens and Mayor Balmer;
None.
City Manager Jones advised that the purpose of this meeting was
to review the Study of Facilities Requirements for the City Hall and Police
Department which the firm of SUA, Inc., had been contracted to perform
and introduced Mr. Robert Hadfield of that firm, who would present the
report.
Mr. Hadfield discussed the report thoroughly which basically
covered the following points:
Current and projected space requirements through the year 1995.
Location requirements of departments
Probable or planned organizational changes which would affect
space requirements
Projected parking space requirements
Alternative occupancy programs and alternative building programs,
including costs and timing of new construction
After discussion, it was the consensus of the Council that before
any determinations are made that other municipal facilities be viewed and
that qualified architectural firms be contacted regarding a preliminary
architectural study.
Motion was made by Councilman Stephens, seconded by Councilman
Nagel and unanimously carried that the City Manager be instructed to enter
into conversations with architectural firms to determine the scope of a pre-
liminary architectural study and that the City Manager then report back to
the Council with recommendations.
No further business appearing to come before the Council at this
session, motion was made by Councilman Nagel, seconded by Councilman
Morgan, that the meeting adjourn, the hour of adjournment being 8:00 o'clock
p.m. Motion carried.
