E1 Segundo, California
March 20, 1967
A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, was held in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City
on the above date. The City Clerk reported that a copy of Notice of
Special Meeting had been posted as required by law and that affidavit of
posting was on file.
The meeting was called to order by Herman L. McGill, Mayor,
the hour being 8:00 o'clock p.m.
ROLL CALL
Councilmen Present: Carr, Frederick, Nagel and Mayor McGill;
Councilmen Absent: McElhaney.
At the hour of 8:10 o'clock p, m. , the Mayor stated the Council
would recess to his office for a personnel session.
Councilman McElhaney made his appearance at this time and joined
the Council in the Mayor's office.

At the hour of 8:50 o'clock p.m. the Council reconvened, all members
being present and answering roll call.
It was then moved by Councilman Frederick, seconded by Councilman
Nagel, the following resolution be adopted:
RESOLVED, that, effective April 17, 1967, and until
further order of this Council, Arthur E. Jones be and he is
hereby appointed to fill the position of City Manager in and for
the City of E1 Segundo, to be compensated for his services at
the rate of $18, 000. 00 annually; that reasonable and necessary moving
expenses from Albuquerque, N. M. to the City of E1 Segundo, be allowed; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that before assuming
said office, said appointee shall file with the City Clerk a
Faithful Performance Bond in amount of $10, 000. 00, said
bond to be approved by the Mayor as to surety and by the City
Attorney as to form.
On roll call, the foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Carr, Frederick, McElhaney, Nagel and
Mayor McGill;
Noes: Councilmen None;
Absent: Councilmen None.
No other business to be conducted at this session, it was moved by
Councilman Carr, seconded by Councilman McElhaney, the meeting adjourn,
the hour of adjournment being 9:00 o'clock p.m.
