An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
E1 Segundo, California, was held in the Council Chamber of the City Hall
of said City on the above date. The Clerk reported that a copy of the
Notice of Adjournment had been posted as required by law, and affidavit
of posting was on file in her office. Prior to calling the meeting to order,
those present joined in pledging allegiance to the Flag of the United States
of America.
The meeting was then called to order by Herman L. McGill, Mayor,
the hour being 7:00 o'(.-lock p.m.
ROLL CALL
Councilmen Present: Frederick, McElhaney, Nagel and
Mayor McGill;
Councilmen Absent: Kimport.
The Mayor announced that the meeting was a continued public hearing
on the 1965 -66 Budget for the City of E1 Segundo; and that the Department
of Public Works would be reviewed at this time.
ENGINEERING: Office Supplies was reduced to $600.
STREET DEPARTMENT: Tentatively approved as submitted.
STREET CLEANING: Special Department Supplies was duced
to $5000 and Vehicle and Field Service & Maintenance was reduced to $8500.
STREET MAINTENANCE: Small Tools was reduced to $200, Land
and Land Improvements was deleted and Heavy Equipment was re-
duced to $5700.
STREET LIGHTING: Reduced to $73, 000 .
CURBS & SIDEWALKS: Special Department Supplies was reduced
to $3500 and Vehicle & Fie] d Service Maintenance was reduced to $700.
TRAFFIC SAFETY: Special Department Supplies was reduced to
$6000, Vehicle & Field Service was reduced to $500 and Small Tools was
reduced to $100.
STORM DRAINS : Utilities wa_- reduced to $3000 and Vehicle and
Field Service & Maintenance was increased to $1500.
SANITATION: Special Department Supplies was reduced to $8500
and Miscellaneous Myperion charges) was increased to $13, 600.
REFUSE DISPOSAL: Tentatively approved as submitted.
WATER DEPARTMENT: Office Equipment Maintenance was re-
duced to and Capital ufl—ay, Other was reduced to $775.

It was the desire of the Council to approve the budget at the
Regular Council Meeting to be held on June 28, 1965 and that any changes
to be made should be done not later than the Regular Council Meeting
to be held on June 14, 1965.
No other business to come before the Council at this session, it
was moved by Councilman McElhaney, seconded by Councilman Kimport,
the meeting adjourn, the hour of adjournment being 11:15 o'clock p.m.
Motion carried.
